I Don't Know If It's The Most Likely Scenario, But I Do Love The "nod To His Jtunn Heritage / Blue Skin"

I don't know if it's the most likely scenario, but I do love the "nod to his Jötunn heritage / blue skin" version. After all he did write that play where the poor little Jötunn boy is rescued by Odin and had it put on stage for all of Asgard to see.

So maybe by the point he has come to terms with his heritage and no longer tries to hide it.

And that yellow cape is definitely a homage to Frigga.

Reasons why Loki’s costume might be blue:

- To represent a sadder Loki at this point in his character arch

- The yellow is a homage to his mother, Frigga

- He is “Peacocking” to gain the attention of the Grandmaster

- Could be a nod to his Jotun heritage / blue skin

Having just smashed my toe by accidentally dropping my phone one it, I can say I feel this meme.

Wish I could have screamed like Viggo Mortensen, but that would have spooked my neighbors. Also, wouldn't have minded a crown afterwards.

This scene would have meant so much to me as a teen.

All these years of not understanding why I never developed a crush on a classmate or celebrity, of reading books/watching movies filled with romance and never being able to imagine myself in place of the characters.

I had to learn about the existence of "aromantic" people form goddamn tumblr, in my 30s.

Thank you so much, Alice Oseman, for validating the aro/ace experience!

I want to thank Alice for this, in "sorry" it was the first time I've ever heard someone say the word "aromantic" in tv, it's something really important to me and generally to every heartstopper fan who's also part of the aro/ace community. It makes me so happy for this representation to also be made by my favorite author ever and someone who's also part of the community

I tend to write bi/aromantic.

Usually, I list it in the order in which I discovered the labels for myself. Being bisexual is something I've known since my twenties. That I'm aromantic, or that anyone can be aromantic, is fairly new for me. But it's become more important to me as an identity in the last few years.

if you use multiple orientation labels, do you have a certain order that you list them in (e.g. bi aro vs aro bi)? do you merge them together or separate them (e.g. greypansexual vs greysexual & pansexual, bi lesbian vs bi-lesbian)? do you have reasons to the way you write/say your orientation?

I genuinely love the image of Laufey as a kind and caring father. My +500k fanfic is testament to that.

But I never doubted that in the movie Laufey truly abandoned Loki. Odin didn’t have to fight anyone to get to Loki in the temple; Laufey never searches for his son in his 1000 years of life, and frankly I cannot believe that Frigga would have been okay with raising a kidnapped child.

And there is that scene in the original script in which Laufey pretty much says that he wanted Loki dead. Source: https://imsdb.com/scripts/Thor.html:

"LOKI

You have no idea what I am.

The blueness spreads across his face, as Laufey and the guards stare in shock. Loki grins.

LOKI (CONT'D)

Hello, Father.

Laufey releases him. Loki's body turns back to normal. Intrigued, Laufey sizes up his son.

LAUFEY

Ah, the bastard son. I thought Odin had killed you. That's what I         would have done. He's as weak as you are.

LOKI

No longer weak. I now rule Asgard, until Odin awakens. Perhaps you   should not have so carelessly abandoned me.

This gives Laufey pause.

LAUFEY

Or perhaps it was the wisest choice I've ever made. I will hear you. "

The tragedy of Loki is not that he was taken from a loving family and raised by people who hated him. It’s that he had a loving family on Asgard, which he lost because of his parents’ lies, Odin’s choice to have his sons compete for his affections, and Loki’s overwhelming envy of Thor.

The butter knife vs dagger argument and i raise u. Loki fandom not knowing the difference between baby dumping and infanticide (is there a difference?)

Yeah, there's a difference between abandoning a baby and infanticide. I would definitely categorize what happens to baby Loki as an attempt at infanticide.

The only thing I can think of in the Loki fandom that you might be referring to is the idiotic popular fanon that Laufey left Loki in the temple to be protected?? From??? I'm not sure????? And Odin actually didn't save Loki, he kidnapped him???????
