This Was Literally Me. I'd Played The Game But Hadn't Read The Books Bc Well... I'd Heard A Lot Of Bad

This was literally me. I'd played the game but hadn't read the books bc well... I'd heard a lot of bad stuff. But now w the Batch ending, a friend was like they're not that bad and a lot of Bad Batch fanon stuff is in there... and my god he was so right. The banter is *chef's kiss*, a lot of good drama, great characterization (for the Troopers at least) and a lot of cool little details about clone life, like they can play music in their helmets & get annoyed at each other's breathing/mouth noises bc they hear their squad all the time during missions.

its so funny to watch people wish for things that already exist in repcomm. like yeah repcomm sucks. but also what you're asking for is there. might as well read it.

One disapproving look from Echo would have anyone saying "sorry I let you down sir, I'll do better sir" 🫡

"You're a clone. How can you be part of this?"

"You're A Clone. How Can You Be Part Of This?"

The utter disappointment and disgust in Echo's voice when he said that to Emerie was enough to shame anyone into doing the right thing.

I'm not even there and I feel ashamed.

*Omega crashes in riding the Zilo*

*Echo & Emerie stare in shock*

"Mom can we keep him?"

Echo: what did your dad say

Crosshair: absolutely not. I'm the one who looks after Batcher half the time, he's too big to fit on *any* ship... we are not taking a Zilo home

LATER ON PABU

*Crosshair dumps a load of batteries in the town square for the Zilo to snack on. Omega & Batcher run around ferally. Cross slaps Hunter on the shoulder*

Cross: tag, you're it. I'm done being dad for now.

It still bothers me that she left her crossbow on the Marauder. Like that was a nice progression from Exho not letting her touch the one in Cid's office, to teaching her to shoot, to giving her one & for what? We never saw her use it!

Random finale prediction:

Omega releases the Zillo Beast to cover her and the kids escaping from Tantiss.

Echo is with Emerie when this happens. Emerie is Very Worried about this unexpected turn of events. Echo, however, knows exactly who released the Zillo Beast. (Of course, it’s Omega. Who else would release such a dangerous beast to provide ample coverage?)

Eventually, Echo and Emerie find Omega and the kids among the chaos of Tantiss. The kids are understandably still scared about being able to get out successfully — and they’re worried about using what weapons Omega pilfered for them.

And Omega very kindly tells them, “It’s okay. I used to have trouble with weapons. Big lesson for using them today is — it’s all about tuning out distractions when you’re firing.”

Cue Echo getting teary and proud at hearing Omega pass along the same advice to the kids that he once gave her.
