there were some issues with blurring but Ive been working for way too long

I cant stress this enough. I was part of a protest a couple days ago for stronger gun laws and its driving me up the wall having to watch this all unfold. I’m sick of waking up in a cold sweat after seeing the faces of my friends covered in blood on the floor. None of us should have to worry about this, it’s obvious. I can’t imagine whats going through the minds of the people affected. I don’t have the most justified of standings since I’m in no way tied to the event, but when you realize you don’t know how to open the rescue window in your spanish class, things just aren’t the same.

I tried it! unfortunately it didnt make it less messy, im not sure what i was expecting but think its the combo of my brush and just my overall technique. i really appreciate the pointer though! Gonna use this lots

I am a teacher in the US.

I can barricade a classroom in less than a minute. I know that when the fire alarm goes off we lock ourselves in the room until someone confirms it's real so we don't get shot evacuating the building. I am trained to pack a bullet wound and apply a tourniquet. My classroom is organized with an active shooter in mind - filing cabinets in front of glass, big desks one shove away from blocking a door, hiding places out of sight of the windows. I have come to terms with the knowledge that I might die protecting my students when all I want to do is show them poetry is fun and teach creative writing.
