Just saw Lisa Frankenstein! A great watch. Really enjoyed it. It was very funny with very strong ties to predecessors of the genre like Death Becomes Her, Heathers, Addams Family Values, and Edward Scissorhands. You can really see the lineage in this film. I really love the comedy that derives from the culture clash of dark goth and bright prep and this film has it in spades.

Fantastic performances all around, especially the leads, with Cole Sprouse delivering some amazingly emotive non-verbal acting and Kathryn Newton frantically yet elegantly rocking this coming of rage tale as the lead.

If you like campy, absurdist horror-comedies, this is a must-watch and sure to be a future classic for the collection.
