what happened in between the car crash and tyler’s little monologue in the narrators bedroom? like i’m assuming that tyler or one of the space monkeys called for another car to be sent to pick them up. and if so there’s no way the narrator/tyler could drive that car because of how out of it he is.

i like to think they they called the car and the space monkeys sat in the front and drove whilst the narrator was in the backseat and imagining his head on tyler’s lap as he strokes his hair or something.

Paper Street during project mayhem, what do you think the narrator thinks to justify why he doesn't have one single task, a shaved head, black clothes? He wants it to be value. Above the rest. But no special orders come from Tyler, and he wants orders so bad. All he gets is an absent god, off arranging other things for making the outside world more how they desire. He doesn't realize, probably, that all the monkeys are for him. Making him the perfect little habitat to grow in, producing everything needed to get him to the next stage. He's the warm little center of their world. He's their lord's little work in progress.
