I don't usually share my thoughts here (because I don't speak English well), BUT-

I just want to say that it makes me a bit sad how humans have stopped believing in…miracles? In myths? Like, I don't see anything wrong or stupid about it…

Like, dudes, we're not living in the best of times, some humans entertain themselves with alcohol, some humans, excuse me, with dr*gs.

But you'd know how great it is to come into the woods and look for the miracle in everything and come up with a magical explanation for it, it's better than any bad habits and bad thoughts...

Scepan...Kuzma's dead brother.
They were very good friends during his lifetime (despite the fact that Kuzma was jealous of him because of his parents' attention), so after Scepan died, Kuzma literally went nuts :(

I have a bat version of myself, but I wanted a LITTLE fish, so now I have a shark version of myself...why not????

Eel Man. A crazy fanatic of the theory that the state is plotting against all fish people, especially his species, and wants to exterminate them all. Not to say that he is...NOT RIGHT AT ALL, as there are indeed people sitting in the state who treat all fish people with disgust.

He has a little daughter from a failed marriage, but since daddy is going crazy, they are not allowed to talk to each other :(

Dad works on the ships as a...checker? Checks deliveries and keeps order, sometimes goes on short shifts at sea.

In his youth, he experienced the disgusting treatment of humanity and treats people as badly as they treat him, but his hatred goes no further than words.

Herr Burnt Coal.
(Actually Kullforbrenning.)

In his lifetime his name was Skogg-Snille (Forest-Kind), his surname is lost.

He got his nickname because of pyromania, and because he was extinguished a few moments before his death and was already dying in a state similar to...well... uh...well.... coal.

He seems to be proud of his nickname, BUT his death was not a dignified one for a man of his nobility

Herukka (Currant).

During his lifetime, Herukka was a healer, but contracted rabies and died a very slow and painful death.
Herukka was revived by self-taught necromancers, however, rather unsuccessfully, and died again almost immediately.

But the last time Herukka woke up on his own. It's not clear whose will it was, but he wasn't very happy about it.

Olliver was blinded by hatred and resentment for his murdered son and brother.

The cross symbolises the "only right" religion according to people, which in my setting made all non-humans considered freaks and devils, so they were slaughtered.

For fish-people and for ordinary people, the animal-people (not furries) in this setting are a semi-mythical mystery...or a forcibly hidden secret because the state doesn't want to keep more "beasts" and allocate housing for them :(
