If SNW insists on giving Spock a string of failed romances, they should at least also make Spock/McCoy canon. Not because I ship it but because it'd explain their dynamic in TOS in a funny way: they're bickering bitter exes, of course.

Seeing people get on others asses for being upset that Neil turned out to be a horrible person and saying that they've should've seen it coming bc all the other disgusting shit he involved himself with is crazy.
Just bc ur a fan of someone's work doesn't automatically make you aware of everything the mf does or has done. Esp when ALL of the nasty things he has done have been swept under the rug, so people just don't know.
Also, there's nothing wrong with being upset over your fav or someone you admire being a terrible person. It's not being parasocial at all.
I want to share my thoughts on the recent allegations, because of the reaction I'm seeing on here. okay so right off the bat: if your reaction to this has been to immediately believe the victims and to revoke support for Gaiman and his work, that's good. believe the victims, even when it's against someone you looked up to. don't let the fact you personally like or respect someone to blind you to these things. however, these accusations have a lot wrong with them. they come from a known tabloid website filled with ads, written by the terf sister of Boris Johnson. Every article sources this tabloid or the true crime podcast it links to, neither of which are reputable. The accusations also coming just shy of a week off the stars of his most well known show (and by extension himself) being attacked at all sides by right wing organizations, really hinders any credibility to me. The fact that they're coming out now of all times is really suspicious to me. Having said that, I think the bit of truth, him having dated a teenage fan and his childrens nanny, does make me think he's not as great as i once thought. The extent of the claims still seems exaggerated for the article, but that bit of truth is making me think less of him. tl;dr, the sourced article was written by a terf for a tabloid. There can be some truth to it, but wait until there's actual evidence, and until this develops further
This is the only thing I’m going to say on the matter of Neil Gaiman for now:
The accusations against him are awful. If they are true, I wish the victims nothing but the best. I am not going to speculate about whether or not they’re true, because that would be incredibly disrespectful. What I am going to do is wait until we have more information before saying anything definitive. Because from my understanding (and correct me if i’m wrong,) this information is coming from a single true crime podcast that almost no one has actually listened to in full and does not seem like an incredibly reliable source of information. I am not defending Neil in any way here, but I do think it’s important to always take the time to gather information from multiple sources, *especially* with something as serious as this.
Also, if you’re one of the people going “oh no what does this mean for Good Omens season 3??” Literally shut the fuck up, put your phone down, and go outside. That is not even remotely important right now and it’s an incredibly insensitive and tone-deaf thing to say.

In light of some recent allegations that came out about Neil Gaiman, it's okay to have complicated feelings when a beloved celebrity does something shitty.
It's okay to feel betrayed and let down when a beloved celebrity does something shitty.
It's okay to have to re-consider your relationship with a shitty celebrity and their work.
It's okay to have once loved and looked up to someone who turned out to be a huge piece of shit.
It's okay to still love a shitty celebrity's work while recognizing that the celebrity is a shitty person.
The shitty and unhealthy thing to do is to dig in an insist that your fave celebrity did nothing wrong.
