Love the fact that the little pest will get cancelled! Why is this fucked up hero ranking still used in the first place??? I thought their society learned their lesson? Aparently not!

@khonaker I have to be careful writing this one because Mrs Midnight makes me too emotional.

While tokoyami finds his alignment more in touch with literature, dark shadow is drawn to art. So of course Mrs Midnights art history class is their favorite. They love Mrs Midnight, she is always so sweet to them and even lets them be out during class. They have made lots of drawing to give to her and chat about all different time periods, styles, and regions of art. She also has a sadistic side and “enjoys tormenting her opponent” which dark shadow also has fun doing >:)

She has a reputation for being a very good listener and open to all kinds of problems. When someone is struggling with something embarrassing (such as nsfw, lgbtq, and romantic topics) she is someone that it feels ok to talk about those things with. We know she gives good advice and uplifts and inspires her students. Tokoyami has probably talked to her about such subjects before although he’s too focused on his hero work than to worry about romance.

While the audience usually sees nemuri in the light of her hero persona I like to think she is much more calm and motherly towards her students in one on one interactions. She is the fun and free spirit of UA which contrasts aizawa’s strict nature.

Nemuri adores shadow because they are cute and feisty. She loves their enthusiasm and vigor and how much they love participating in class.

She thinks tokoyami is to mature for his age and want him to have some fun and relax more, act like a kid. She tries to encourage some playfulness in him with the help of shadow and get him to be a little more reckless. It’s not very effective but toko tries to take her advice as much as he can. Maybe he does a couple things to be a bit more rebellious now.

She also tells him not to be so afraid of consequences for mistakes, has a lot of fear for hurting people and that seems to control a lot of his actions. Once again he’s not going to get over his traumas immediately but he’s slowly working on them.

I don’t really wanna write about her…loss but I suppose I can say something.

They were devastated obviously upon the news. There is guilt because they went to save hawks instead of rejoining their class and if they had been there would she have lived? Did she have to die in order to save hawks? but mostly there is grief, intense loss. Tokoyami disassociated as first and focused on being rational and calm, he tries to comfort his classmates…and shadow. Shadow cries, cries, and cries and is also so very angry, angry at who did this. It takes time for them to heal and gain some semblance of normalcy again. They can’t think about their favorite class without hurting and missing her so much.

Toko only allows himself to break down when he is in his room. Sometimes this frustrates shadow but they are familiar with Tokoyami’s suppression at this point and doesn’t hold it against him. He thinks he has failed by not listening to her as well as he should have. He regrets not getting closer to her before she was gone. It hurts, shadow holds him while they cry, maybe they are holding each other.

Shadow makes drawing for her still and puts them on her memorial. Someone collects them and puts them in a binder before they can be destroyed by the elements but I’m not sure who. Toko names his new sword “Midnight” after her.

I love these ideas so much🥹 (and glad to see someone else remembers Dark Crystal!)

I liked to think that once Midoriya unlocks Black Whip, Toshonori immediately talks with Fumikage to either get pointers or help Izuku learn how to control them utilize it since Dark Shadow and Black Whip work similarly!

Tokoyami and dark shadow have loved all might from a young age as most children have although their reasoning is a bit different from others. All Might is completely terrifying. He sends fear into hearts of villains and is like a god amongst men, a creature of vengeance and justice. His devastating power holds the potential for great destruction but he wields it with such precision and control that he can use it help others. He also has a good sense of humor XD When tokoyami says all might is “like a god” he means it literally and thinks of him as a god and treats him as such. His opinion changed after seeing him in person and realized he’s just a guy but for a long time he was a really big inspiration for tokoyami and shadow for what kind of hero they want to be. He is like their second favorite hero after dark crystal.

Due to this hero/god worship they were very nervous about talking with him one on one just because they didn’t want to make a fool of themselves. When all might gave them that hug during the sports festival it meant a lot and they were secretly fanboying I’m sure of it. Obviously he also gave tokoyami the advice to train his body as well and I mean if all might was the one telling him to do it he sure as hell isn’t going to let him down.

Tokoyami was obviously shown to be very animated when All Might was fighting AFO. He has a great deal of faith in the symbol of peace that it broke his usual emotional composure, he must have been very worried about him.

While all might is definitely focused on Midoriya and needs to learn more teaching skills he’s definitely good at being uplifting and encouraging to his students. Most people forget all might made midoriya a personalized work out plan so he actually knows a lot about how to help other people train their bodies. He probably made work out routines for all of his classes best suited for their fighting style and matching their quirks abilities. Tokoyami definitely focuses on core and leg workouts because he fights with his legs and needs to hold himself up when shadow is carrying him.

You would have to be completely blind to miss the power dark shadow has. Toshinori certainly catches on and is very interested in Tokoyami’s potential, the more he watches though the more interested he becomes by picking up on dark shadows behavior as well. Dark Shadow acts very different from Tokoyami, they laugh at his puns and jokes, they are playful and energetic while tokoyami is serious and refined. Sentient quirks are quite rare, especially not when he was born since only 50% of the population had quirks at all back then, but dark shadow is on a whole other level of “alive”. While most people his age would laugh off the idea of a truly sapient quirk toshinori isn’t your average man and takes it in stride. He awkwardly goes about trying to bond with these strange birds (including embarrassing himself with misconceptions but he is really trying) and dark shadow is delighted to have THE All Might’s attention.

I don’t think there is anything monumental about their relationship, it’s just all might being a true hero to everyone he meets and inspiring them. He talks to tokoyami about his health at one point and how it’s important to take care of his emotional and physical needs. If he keeps pushing himself too hard, he will just burn himself out. Tokoyami was so determined to become faster (like hawks) he forgot to slow down and prioritize himself over his work. He will do well to remember this from now on.

I really love All Might and I want tokoyami to interact with him more so much! I want to see him and shadow making dad jokes and tokoyami suffering from them.

BkDks before the last chapter: IzuOchas always make about their ship, and never worry about Ochako and the fact she is going through her trauma!

BkDks with 429, where Bakugou has only one panel with Izuku and only asks one question about his quirk and not about Izuku himself:

OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST LOVE STORY! THIS IS PEAK! TOTAL ENDGAME SHIP RIGHT HERE!

They also laugh at the fact that Bakugou only focused on finding out about Izuku’s quirk and completely ignore Ochako, as if it comes across as a Chad move and DOESN’T paint him as a selfish, uncaring asshole.

I am not going to miss a huge chunk of this fandom.
