Why do my interests in canning, couponing, and homesteading overlap so often with blogs with titles like ‘The Obedient Housewife’?
the ace attorney fandom really has an entire day dedicated to celebrating the main character's entire life and career going to shit i love that for them
Specify in the tags please what species or breed of animal you would choose as a witches familiar if the most obvious were off the table
Let's have fun with this
For example for me it would be a great white shark
Also yes men you can interact with this poll too

What sort of person is Phoenix Wright?!
How does the producer of the trilogy, Mr. Inaba, view the main character, Phoenix Wright? And what about the character designer, Mr. Iwamoto, who voiced Wright's rival, Miles Edgeworth? What's his opinion on the matter?
Mr. Inaba's comments
Interviewer: I'd like to ask you about what type of guy you think Wright is. Let's start with his birthday.
Inaba: Wright always seems chipper, so perhaps he was born in the spring?
Iv: That might be why that pink sweater suited him so well (lol). What about his living situation?
Ia: I feel like Maya probably swipes the money he makes at his law firm, so Wright is poor. He probably lives in a really basic apartment.
Iv: So his cell phone is probably not the latest model, but rather…
Ia: It's probably a previous generation one that he's used for a long time. Like one of the ones with a green display (lol). He can't afford a new one.
Iv: He's very working class, then (lol).
Ia: I definitely think he is. There's no doubt in my mind. He's got no money. I don't even want to imagine a posh Wright (lol).
Iv: How mean (lol). If he's really that low on funds, then I imagine he doesn't have much money to spare on hobbies.
Ia: He doesn't seem like the type to be particularly interested in music, and since he's poor, he probably can't afford CDs. If he does listen to music, it's probably just whatever is playing on the radio as he hangs out at the fishing pond.
Iv: So you see him as the type of guy who goes to the fishing pond?
Ia: if he did fish as a hobby, I can see him doing it in a pond or something. He's definitely not the sport fishing type.
Iv: You make him sound like he has a typical working class, chill lifestyle.
Ia: I don't see him as the type to spend most of his time indoors though. He probably plays catch or walks his dog… I think that kind of thing suits him best.
Iv: His dog is a mutt, of course?
Ia: Probably a mix of Japanese breeds. He either found the dog abandoned somewhere, or it just happened to wander into his office, or Maya forced it on him so he ended up keeping it.
Iv: Last question: what do you think Wright's type is?
Ia: Probably the dominant type. After all, he dated Dahlia and worked for Mia (lol).
Mr. Iwamoto's comments
Iv: So about Wright's birthday, when do you think it is?
Iwamoto: Maybe in May? I think it'd be funny if it were the same as Takumi-san's. Maybe his blood type and birthplace are the same as Takumi-san's too?
Iv: Inaba-san had an image of Wright consistent with a working class guy, but what do you think?
Iw: No objections (lol). He doesn't seem like he'd spend much money on his clothes. At the very least, I think he has the type of personality where it wouldn't be unusual to see him outdoors.
Iv: It's hard to imagine him wearing expensive brand-name outfits, isn't it?
Iw: He probably wears jeans, but not like the vintage kind. He probably sleeps in a t-shirt and boxers. Come to think of it, Suekane-san doodled Wright in a sweatshirt once, so he might be the type to wear sweatshirts.
Iv: So what about sports?
Iw: Maybe field soccer? If you put the word "field" in front of a sport, it sounds more working class. Like "field baseball."
Iv: He sounds totally working class, just like Inaba-san's image. Do you think he gets together with a bunch of friends and plays a rowdy game of field soccer?
Iw: I wonder. Wright seems like the type of guy who doesn't have a lot of friends somehow. His only soccer buddy is Larry Butz, so he plays just with him. They'd be like "You play goalie next, ok?" They'd take turns doing penalty shootouts… jeez, that's depressing (lol). In contrast to Wright, Larry seems like he'd be more shy around other people. He probably doesn't remember any of those people's names (lol).
Iv: In terms of physical build, Wright has more of a swimmer's body than a soccer player body. His shoulders are broad.
Iw: Suekane-san drew him pretty burly in the first game, didn't she? I tried to keep that image when I drew him. But if you really want to know what Wright's body type is like, you can find out by having Takumi-san strip for you (lol). I think Wright is highly influenced by Takumi-san himself.
something that i love about narumitsu is that you can come up with any headcanon for them in terms of marriage and it will make sense. oh they got married the day they confessed by signing their papers during lunchbreak in a hurry? for sure, they are weird little freaks and wouldn't waste any time. oh they had a proper wedding that turned into a murder case? that is so them. they had a beautiful ceremony? yeah, marriage is a legal procedure and what else would they value more than that? oh they divorced like three times? yeah c'mon look at them it makes sense. they proposed to each other simultaneously? god i love these losers they totally would. they didn't get married at all because it's against the law in japan and that's why edgeworth always talks about never getting married? so true so tr
phoenix is absolutely unhinged before and after the trilogy. in his early twenties he's a pathetic little theatre kid who eats glass and in his thirties he's the cryptid of the legal world who plays poker in a dingy basement and may or may not be the chief prosecutor's sugar baby. and i absolutely love that in the midst of this drastic transition, there is a point in his life--the three years spanning the trilogy-- where he's the most normal person ever
The trope where a character overhears something out of context and assumes the worst is usually annoying and bad but I really think it works well in Shrek
We, the audience, know that Fiona is talking about herself but, regardless, she’s calling herself these terrible things because she is an ogre. If Fiona is these things because she is is an ogre what does that make Shrek?
If Fiona says no one could love her because she is an ogre, she is saying that Shrek is also unloveable whether she wants to or not.
Imo the scene is a really good portrayal of how when you talk poorly of yourself or others for having a trait, you’re also talking about every other person who shares that trait; even if you love them or think what you’re saying doesn’t apply to them.

Hi, C! Your drawings look so dynamic and pleasant to the eyes. One thing that always catches my attention is the way you draw hands, any tips on how to draw them or how you go about it?
I've actually received a few similar questions too before and I always got a hard time finding an easy way to simplify the explanation because to me drawing hand is like drawing a whole mini body that's attached to the main body 😭 It has its own angles, motions, foreshortenings, anatomy, details, etc, and I think a quick tutorial won't cover all of those unless the question is more specific :') And if you ask me how I go about drawing hand I just draw it the same way I draw bodies (making messy sketches first to determine the overall shape of the hand and then drawing the details later)
But I found this tutorial made by @/Qinniart, reposted via EtheringtonBrothers and I think it has pretty much all you need to know about drawing hands!

I hope it helps Anon and I'm so sorry I can't give you more than this 😭 As much as I love drawing hands it's the only thing that's hard to explain for me. The easiest way to draw a perfect hand is by following a reference, and if the pose is more specific you can use your own hand as a reference!
feel free to add ur reasoning .. i love reading those .....
Hello!! Thank you for blessing us with all your tutorials and advice! I have a question for fonts, do you have a favorite or any recommendations to use for comics? I just don't like my handwriting haha
I always use anime ace font! It's the only free manga font I could find out there 😭

Now I haven’t played Apollo Justice but from what I gather Apollo is very iconic because an international celebrity rockstar basically threw himself at his feet like “I am head over heels for you, wanna date????” and Apollo (rightfully) went “This is a murder trial????”
something so funny about the dynamic between a sickly gay victorian man using a prehistoric old fashioned telephone and an old man who has back problems, doesn’t know what technology is and uses packaging tape to hold together his old deteriorating nokia keypad desperately hanging on to life

this was too much words and i exaggerated a lot of points but anyway. im not even joking about the packaging tape

matt engarde is indisputably the funniest ace attorney villain because while he’s criminally insane and evil and ruins every life he comes into contact with for fun his only goal is to get a kids choice award

i hate when top wildlife predators are just lil babies teeny tiny babies
i know the lost turnabout is a first case that's just meant to re-introduce players to the mechanics of the game but two things always struck me about it. one is that mia died from being struck on the head and barely even a year later phoenix potentially could've died the exact same way if that one witness guy (i'm not looking up his name) had struck him any harder so it creates this horrible "like mentor like student" situation only with. death. instead of mannerisms. and the second thing is that when stripped of his memories phoenix is proven to naturally be a person who suspects more than he trusts. like really at first he doesn't trust maggey at ALLLLL he's constantly giving her these suspicious looks and being like "how could you not have done it?? here's a bunch of evidence that proves you did it!!!" even when maggey insists over and over again that she didn't do it. and it always gets me thinking about how phoenix said at the end of 1-4 that if he had known larry was the one who stole his lunch money he would've been a prosecutor instead of a defense attorney. idk just!!! thoughts
i’m gonna drop an art tip here
i think an important thing to learn, especially if you start out with drawing anime, is that faces don’t necessarily have to narrow from top to bottom

i like to think of wide top, wide middle, wide bottom, and rectangle-like as the 4 main face shapes
what you should keep in mind about them:
you’re only halfway done: the jawlines, the width-length ratio, the amount of fat in the cheeks, the intensity or subtlety of the face’s curves are all important components you still have to decide on after choosing the shape itself
none of these shapes are exclusively feminine or masculine, don’t hesitate drawing them on any gender
most people in real life have some variation of the wide middle type
if you are trying to draw real people, getting the shape of their face down is the first step
i’ve seen tutorials say the shape of the face can tell a lot of the character’s personality - you don’t necessarily have to live by that rule. as long as you aren’t unrealistically drastic about their proportions, their face shape determines their inner qualities as much as it would in real life (not at all)
give a boy a flower and he says awww and smells it and does a cute little twirl. give a girl a flower and she says thankslol and eats it
i hate that every time i look for color studies and tips to improve my art and make it more dynamic and interesting all that comes up are rudimentary explanations of the color wheel that explain it to me like im in 1st grade and just now discovering my primary colors
Hey guys! We've dubbed our first Zwei video and it's coming out today (and in 2 hours no less)! Please check it out :)
