Soohyun - Ashes

‘I can’t.’, Soohyun whispered and pressed the urn closer to his chest.

‘You have to, you know that.’, Hoon said and looked at him. Seeing his hyung like that made his heart ache. Seeing Soohyun suffer like this was making him feel miserable, and there was nothing to do to help him.

‘I-I don’t have the strength..I thought I did, but I don’t.’, Soohyun said and lowered his head. Hoon placed his hands next to his body, the chilly grass tickling his palms. He threw his head backwards and looked up at the clear, sunny sky.

‘Hyung, you told me that it was a beautiful day the day you first met, right?’, Hoon asked, not averting his eyes from the sky.

‘Yes.’, Soohyun replied and Hoon could feel that his hyung was smiling at the memory. ‘The sun rays were falling onto her face, making her look like an angel. She was breathtaking.’

‘I can’t believe such a beautiful woman fell for you hyung.’, Hoon then said and chuckled. ‘You were really lucky.’

‘I was the luckiest man in the whole world.’, Soohyun replied and let a slight sigh out. ‘Everyone was crazy about her, but out of them all, she chose me. I will never understand what she saw in me Hoon, but I’m so happy that she did see something.’

‘Is it hard?’, Hoon asked, not looking at his hyung. Soohyun remained silent.‘Are the nights hard?’

‘It feels as if someone is constantly choking me, and what the worst part is, they won’t even let me die. It’s constant torture, with no way of relief in sight.’,Soohyun answered and pressed the urn even harder against him.

‘Do you think about taking your life when it gets too lonely?’, Hoon asked.

‘Yes.’, Soohyun honestly replied.

‘Do you think she would’ve liked that?’
