"Knowing Claude, I Know He's Probably Taking Responsibility For It. I'm Sure He's Not Pointing Fingers
"Knowing Claude, I know he's probably taking responsibility for it. I'm sure he's not pointing fingers at anybody else but himself. ... I know he takes it hard and takes it to heart," Briere told ESPN.com in a phone conversation on Monday. "I'm 100 percent sure he feels very responsible for it. At the same time, he's one of those guys that doesn't sit back and pout. He loves to take control of the situation and make it better."

In case there was any doubt: yes, Danny is still the president and founding member of the Claude Giroux Fan Club.
These assholes, I don't even know what to do with them. Also, I find it hilarious that ESPN called Danny, rather than asking someone who's, you know, PLAYING with Claude right now.

The wait is over! Shinny Studio is officially taking orders for the Steel City Pens shirt. Black design on heather grey tee (American Apparel, unisex, 100% cotton).
Price depends on headcount; at most it’ll be $28/shirt (includes shipping), but the more orders we get the cheaper it’ll go.
Shoot us an e-mail with your name, mailing address, and desired size (sizing chart found here) at shinnystudio@lilai-nyc.com to pre-order. No worries, you won’t be committing to anything until final price has been confirmed.
Closing date for orders will be November 30th, at which point we’ll tally up the order and announce final price. T-shirts will be shipped mid-December in time for the holidays.
And now I’d normally say “good luck” to Pens fans, but with Crosby cashing in nearly two points per game so far? I’ll say good luck to the rest of the League instead!
my hobbies include talking about my fandom to people who don’t care about my fandom
when referring to people as 'my babies'
Other People: boyfriends, crushes, their actual babies.
Me: celebrities, fictional characters, OTPs, my followers.
This idea grabbed me first thing this morning and will NOT. LET. GO.
What if the reason Sid was so talented so early on was because Troy sold Sid's soul to a crossroads demon? And the injuries of the last few years are because the deal is coming due. Of course, Sid doesn't know anything about a demon deal and his current level of talent is purely because he works so hard at it and has for so long. Starting with all the little injuries and damage he's suffering, people start making jokes about him having a deal coming due (this being a world where that is a thing). Sid brushes them off, of course, because he knows he's never made any deals with anyone. Geno starts taking a closer look at things, though, because he comes from a long line of cursebreakers although he's never done much of it himself. Then he has to explain to Sid that yes, there was a deal and if Sid doesn't find a way out of it, he's done. Geno calls on the expertise of the Russian collective and also someone unexpected, like maybe Craig or Tanner (maybe going to Ivy League schools makes them good at getting people out of deals and that's why it's made such a big deal of?) and of course, Sid is freaking out because oh my god, he thought demon deals were just a myth, he didn't think anyone actually DID that. And maybe Mario helps too—he had a deal, but got out of it by paying a price (cancer) and was able to go back to hockey. Of course there's angst with Sid's parents, because Troy is completely unrepentant: Sid's had the opportunity to play all this time AND he won a Cup and how does Sid not appreciate what Troy did for him? Where Sid is all, hey, I did this for MYSELF by working hard even if the original talent came from the deal. The deal is finally successfully broken and in the midst of all this, Sid and Geno have fallen for each other (or more accurately, realize their feelings are more than friendship).
Someone really, really needs to write this. Please?
