Even though she found their conversation interesting, Maria still kept tiptoeing past the two men, letting out a sigh of relief when they ignored her. By the time Maria finished her book, her meal was finished and she learnt nothing new. Well, except that Sir Velstadt and Kasimir were totally banging later and that she should stay outside for the rest of the night. Thank goodness that she was a pyromancer. “Good boy! You’re getting a treat if I find anymore dried mangoes. Have fun studying, Your Highness!” She said, waving at Kasimir as she walked out the door, only to freeze and peek back in with a sly look.

“Oh, and with Velstadt too.” She added, closing the door before he could react. Giggling to herself, she hefted her bag on her shoulders, strolling down the corridor with a grin on her face. Only for that grin to drop when she saw who else was there.

“Ugh, not him again.” She grumbled under her breath, irritably. She honestly decided that she did not like Gotthard, his attitude reminding her of all the annoying boys at school.
