I honestly kinda feel bad for Cassandra. Her dad is banished and taken from the line of succession because he wanted to marry someone he loved and her right is given to her cousin

Yeah, it’s a shitty and unfair situation. But that doesn’t mean you go on a murderous rampage and make everyone else’s lives miserable. If she had just come to Lucette and told her about the problem, Lucette would’ve done everything in her power to help her.

Lucette doesn’t leave her family out to dry. She and Cas could’ve been great friends if she had asked nicely first. And ya know, NOT abandon her gf in the middle of the night and vanish without a trace or telling her.

Meeting and having convos with people who are genuinely into your OCs and actually want to learn more about them really does things to your self esteem and motivation, I’m telling you.

I recently joined a discord server for black artists and omg, the support there has been amazing! The way everyone is so supportive and encouraging of each other is just....mind blowing!

It’s nice being around people you can talk about your OCs with and have genuine interest in instead of having To deal with one way convos.

it was like so validating to post ocs and see ppl go “WOAH 🥺🥺💖💕💕💕” or asking questions about them and about their story.

Even better, it’s never ONE WAY! It’s a mutual exchange with everyone and doesn’t feel like a competition for attention.

All my oc exchanges have either been “Oh, okay, that’s nice.” or those “Yeah whatever, ANYWAYS let’s go back to talking about my OCs again!” people or just straight up being ignored. And it has worn me down over the years and makes talking to those people a mentally and emotionally exhausting because they just want to keep the focus on themselves instead of sharing. It becomes less of a conversation and more of an echo chamber.

But this server is such a breath of fresh air for me and I’m so grateful to it. It has done wonders for my motivation for Lucette because I’m already halfway done with Ch17.

So yeah, I just wanted to say that. Pretty thankful for it.
