First order of business: Danny’s middle name? I get that the phandom has made it James cuz back in the day, people subconsciously went, “Middle name? I guess…James rolls off the tongue well? Idk why, but it works” and then it caught on, and don’t get me wrong I will always call him Daniel James Fenton in all my fics, but can we just all agree it would be objectively really funny if say Jack had to sign the birth certificate but forgot what middle name they agreed on, so he just didn’t put a middle name there and so Danny’s whole life he thinks his middle name is James and then one day he takes a look at his birth certificate and it’s like nah bitch you’re Daniel Fenton. James who? So then Danny just thinks his parents gaslighted him into thinking he has a middle name and he’s too afraid to ask if he or they hallucinated it into existence so he just.
