one thing no one ever teaches you is that you can just make things nicer and more intentional- you can take your energy drink, pour it in a rocks glass over ice with a slice of lime on the rim, and sip it slow. and you'll think, "wow i am the biggest faggot to have ever lived". and you know what? you're right.

I need to be up in five hours for work but I watched all of the first half of bridgerton season 3 and that ending? The book lover of polin in me is screaming (I need to physically scream but it's 1am so I'm crying instead) my brain is in hyper drive I probably should of left the last episode for another day so I may sleep tonight but fuck I couldn't stop watching. Idk if I'm going to be able to sleep, I need to, but polin is on my mind T. T

How am I meant to wait a month for, four more episodes? Cruel.

a gifset which envisions every Papa from Ghost as if they were the stars of their own 80s horror film. The base graphic element for this entire set is presented in the style of an old VHS tape that is torn, frayed and creased around the edges of the front, spine, and back; with two gifs, one on the front cover that imitates a poster, and one on the back to show a “preview”.
gif 1 of 5. The colour theme for this cover is red and black. The movie imagined here is a campy 80s horror romance gone wrong starring Papa Nihil and Sister Imperator. On the front cover is a shot of Sister Imperator laughing maniacally as blood rains down upon her and Papa Nihil. The movie title says, “Dance Macabre”, in a bold, black font with a red outline styled like dripping blood. Towards the bottom right of the cover, are two VHS rental stickers, an orange and black “cult classic” sticker and a black sticker which says “gore” in a bloody font. The tagline at reads “One night in Transilvania”, with emphasis place on the letters LA which are in the blood dripping font as the title. The spine consists of the movie title in the same font as the front cover, along with the VHS logo and a red Grucifix below it. The back cover of the VHS contains information about the film, presented within a rectangular frame/text box consistent with the red and black colour scheme. The main tagline at the top says “there’s a sting in the way you kiss me…" There is a shot of Papa Nihil looking around, dramatically lowering his hand as Sister Imperator watches him. Below, is another tagline which says, “Cataclysm. Armageddon.” The plot summary reads, “History is changed forever when two young souls bewitch each other in the moonlight.”There is also a 3 star movie review written by Papa Emeritus IV which says, “Packs a real punch!”. There are also three logos on the back which will be a recurring theme in this set: the official Ghost band logo, the “R” for restricted movie rating logo, and another which says “Recorded in Surround Sound”. The movie cast and crew are also listed, “starring Papa Nihil and Sister Imperator, with director Zev Deans and producer Kiley Coleman” (who created the music video).
gif 2 of 5. The colour scheme of this vhs tape is black and blue. Both gifs in this set are from Ghost's myspace teaser for the song Ritual, and have been coloured in a way that is reminiscent of the Opus Eponymous album cover. This movie concept is a suspenseful horror mystery with supernatural elements, starring Papa Emeritus I and based around the song "Ritual". On the front cover, there is a shot of Papa I staring towards the viewer as his hands reach out in front of him. The main graphic elements are the same as the previous gif, except there is a black and blue “suspense” sticker above the one that says “gore.” The tagline at the top is in a gothic font which says, “tonight, we are summoned for his unholy fiend.” Papa glitches in and out within the frame, as if he is an apparition. The movie title, “Ritual” is at the bottom in a glitchy, distorted block font to compliment the way Papa I is glitching in the shot. The spine contains the movie title in the matching font, alongside the VHS logo and a blue Grucifix this time. On the back cover, the top tagline reads, “On this night of ritual…” Beneath that, is a gif of hooded mysterious hooded figures as Papa I has his back towards the viewer. The next tagline says, “unhallowed be thy name”. The movie summary reads, “A chapel of ritual is under investigation after reports of human sacrifices found at the altar bed mysteriously vanished overnight.” There is a movie review written by The Clergy that says “dripping with suspense” and has a 3 star rating. The three logos on the back are the same as before, with the Ghost logo in blue to match the theme, the “R” restricted rating, and “Recorded in Mono” label. The cast list for the movie says, “Starring Papa Emeritus I and Nameless Ghouls”.
gif 3 of 5. The colour scheme here is orange and black, consisiting of the same composition and core graphic elements of the previous gifs. The two gifs used here are shots from the Year Zero music video and retain the black and white colouring. The movie concept a black and white horror film, in the style of Universal Classic Monsters, which celebrates the seven deadly sins starring Papa Emeritus II. On the front cover is a black and white gif of Papa Emeritus II turning to face the viewer as he lifts his hat as if to salute or wave goodbye to the viewer. He is wearing a black suit and tie and his signature aviators. The rental stickers have changed again, one is a red sticker which says “adult” and the other is a “cult classic” sticker. The tagline on the front cover says, “He will tremble the nations…” The movie title says “Year Zero” in orange colour. The spine contains the movie title in matching font, VHS logo and an orange grucifix. The tagline at the top of the back cover reads “Belial, Behemoth, Beelzebub. Asmodeus, Satanas, Lucifer.” Beneath is a shot of Papa Emeritus II indulging in some grapes. The next tagline says, “Welcome, Year Zero”. The movie summary reads, “A mysterious, handsome, and charming man blazes into town, leaving behind a trail of blasphemy, lust, and sin in his wake.” There is a 3 star review from Ghoulish Tomatoes which calls the movie “Sensational, scandalous and Satanic!” The three logos on the back are the same as the previous cover. The cast list says “Starring Papa Emeritus II and his Sisters of Sin.”
gif 4 of 5. The main colour scheme of this cover is black, green and yellow. The shots chosen for this gif are from the Square Hammer music video. The movie concept this time is a cheeky and ‘meta’ nod toward the actual Square Hammer music video. On the front cover is a shot of Papa Emeritus III standing tall above a building. He looks grand and imposing, framed by moonlight as his arms are raised high. The tagline at the top says, “feel it’s power”. The rental stickers have changed; there is a green “horror” sticker and a yellow sticker with a smiley face in the centre with text that says, “be kind, rewind”. At the bottom of the cover is the movie title “Square Hammer” in bold, art deco style font to pay homage to the aesthetics of the music video. On the spine is the movie title, VHS logo, and a yellow grucifix. On the back cover, the tagline at the top reads “Here, our father takes his final rest…” Beneath is a green coloured gif of Papa III, followed by a man holding a torch as they venture through a crypt. The next tagline asks the audience, “are you ready to swear before the devil?” The summary of the movie are words taken from the music video, which say “wield the square hammer! It is your destiny! Feel its power, the rest of blood and spirit”. There is a 3 star review from Ghoulish Tomatoes which call it “An immersive experience!”, again, another nod to the music video. The logos on the back are the same as the previous gifs. The cast and crew list reads “Starring Papa Emeritus III and Brendan McGowan, directed by Zev Deans” as per the music video credits.
gif 5 of 5. The colour scheme used here is dark purple, white and fuschia. The gifs are shots from the Hunter’s Moon music video and are coloured purple. This cover is another meta nod, this time to the Halloween franchise. The movie concept envisioned is an oldschool slasher starring Papa Emeritus IV. On the front cover is a dark, close up shot of Papa Emeritus IV appearing into the frame from the right, as if he is stalking someone. At the top of the cover is the movie title, “Hunter’s Moon” in block font that is very close to the font used in the original Halloween cover. The stickers have changed again, one says “cult classic” and the other is a red “horror” sticker. The tagline at the bottom says “He’s coming back for you.” The spine contains the movie title, VHS logo and a purple grucifix. On the back cover, there is only one tagline, positioned at the top which says, “It’s been a long time comin”. Beneath the tagline is a gif of a mysterious, shadowy figure, stalking through the foggy woods at night. The movie summary reads, “15 years ago, a young cardinal was framed for a series of brutal murders by his own clergy for discovering their darkest secret. Under a fateful blood moon, he escapes prison, and he wants revenge.” There is a 3 star review from Ghoulish Tomatoes that says, “A merciless chiller, killer, all-time thriller.” The logos on the back are the same as the previous gif, except this time it says “Recorded in Surround Sound.” The cast list reads, “Starring Papa Emeritus IV”.
