Just sitting here thinking about that Akatsuki Kakashi au where Kakashi’s goal isn’t to end the world, but to try to save Obito even just a little.

His only goal is to protect Obito from becoming a complete monster, and in the process Kakashi gives up everything he loves and even his own beliefs in a way while trying to pull Obito back towards the light

And at the end of it all Obito survives and realizes his mistakes, but it’s too late because he only realizes after Kakashi protects him from Madara’s attack and dies in the process.
