Trying to show more of my drawing process cuz it's pretty weird especially when it comes to coloring BUT it's also very fun and I want more ppl to try my techniques

That's why I started writing this mini tutorial post yet it's hard to figure out what I wanna say ಠಿ⁠_⁠ಠ so for now here's a speedpaint that shows how I sketch my rough ideas [another example]

As you can see i usually start with grey background and my drawings take shape in 70% darker / 30% lighter tones with very limited contrast

I also use lines to show where the surface changes it's form for example when folds on clothes create shadow or facial features catch light

Because at this stage your main goal is to build the composition and definite the silhouette <⁠(⁠￣⁠︶⁠￣⁠)⁠> it's easier to keep your overall image vague and not get confused by strict lines and details that really stand out

Waoooow I started this more than a year ago (⁠◔⁠‿⁠◔⁠) It's different when you draw for yourself because I opened the file and looked at it thinking it's not perfect and I have no idea what to add

But I'm so in love with this version of Michael so I decided to do him justice

Poor guy got abandoned at almost finished stage but my style has changed so I had to redraw the whole thing

Tried to keep it low saturated for the atmosphere 🕯️Also RIP me🕯️
