This evening as we were arriving at our hotel on the North Carolina coast, we heard a cry in the parking lot.  We thought it might be a cat, so we called for it.  The cry persisted.  Out of the darkness ran a little orange kitten.

The kitten was desperate.  He cried and cried, until we picked him up, put him in our car, and drove around looking for a place to buy cat food after midnight.  We found some at a gas station, along with cat litter, and then we smuggled him up into our hotel room.  We have since bathed him several times to combat the flea infestation from which he was suffering.

Throughout these multiple baths, he has not stopped purring once.  He follows us everywhere.  He wants to be cradled and cuddled constantly, he is especially fond of toes and kisses.

On top of everything, it seems as though his whiskers have been cut.  We don’t know everything this little guy has been through, but he’s clearly had a hard life so far and he deserves so much better. As you all know if you’ve been following me, we already have multiple cats and probably shouldn’t add another to our household.  However, surely someone out there can give this guy a home.

We found him in Morehead City, NC.  Is there anyone who is interested in this little guy and can meet us to give him a good home?  Please send me or Ash a message if you’re interested.

The Endearing and Annoying Things About Each Sign

Also, for science-related academic texts they really do have to be that specific and use latin names. It wouldn't make any sense if they didn't.

I can’t stand the unnecessary use of alienating high brow language in most academic texts. It’s like it’s used as a secret password to keep ‘the wrong kind of people’ out from entering into the club (the club being knowledge of course). They use language as a way of building up walls that you have to plot your way through like a maze. Surely the mark of a good academic text, of any text that is used to educate or expand understanding, should be its accessibility and clarity. When works lock people out who wish to access them, then they only speak to the people who are already in the room who already have knowledge. It’s all a gross congratulatory circle jerk.

darthstitch I actually ‘liked’ the comic storyline, more for the background and the development of Tony and Steve through the story. But, as the downfall of the comic was, the marketing is doing this ‘friend vs friend’ thing that is annoying as crap. I honestly don’t care who is on their teams, or rather I mildly cared until they launched this campaign, now it just honestly annoys me.

I’m more interested in what they’ll be fighting about and their stances.

Sorry. I’m just a bit sour. Ever since these stuff came out, the old bashy posts started resurfacing and people’s biases are resurfacing. Aaaand.

Maemae is just a grumpy when Brother Tony gets demonized that’s all. Which is really easy rn with all this stuff. Add to that additional demonization of Natasha on top of them too. Who is precious to me too.

I recognize that it’s early days. And I also recognize that the Russo brothers had done good by us. But I made the mistake of diving into fandom and got smacked with the worst of it. So I’m grumpy. And blacklisting a lot of things again.
