Nonbinary Survey

Hi there!

There isn’t much recent information about being nonbinary out there. And even the information available is usually based on personal accounts or results of surveys that just accounted for nonbinary people existing as part of something else.

That’s why I made this survey.

I mean, I know most people that will answer this will be either from Tumblr or from comparatively small groups the survey is passed on. Still, I want to see data such as:

Which nonbinary genders, or kinds of nonbinary genders, are more common?

Is it true that most nonbinary people don’t feel dysphoria, or don’t transition? Are the proportions similar to those of binary trans people?

Are most nonbinary people younger, in average, than binary trans people?

Do nonbinary people tend to come out often?

Which pronouns are the most common among nonbinary people?

Do most nonbinary people try to present as their gender?

Since I want to compare binary trans people’s data with nonbinary people’s data, binary trans men and women are also welcome to answer the survey.

However, since most questions have to do with trans/nonbinary specific stuff in current western society (a lot involve transition, coming out, dysphoria, presentation, etc.), I don’t think it would be very useful for other people to answer the survey, even if not cis. (Still, anyone is welcome to signal boost!)

I also do not recommend this survey for questioning people who are new to the trans/nonbinary community, since there are some concepts these people have not probably thought about yet. There’s nothing really preventing questioning people to fill the survey, though.

Finally, I need to inform that, since this is a survey to get in-depth information, there are quite a few delicate things here, things I don’t recommend asking trans/nonbinary people you are not close to, especially without warning. There’s nothing asking in detail about genitals, but there is stuff such as:

Asking if your name is similar or not to your deadname

Asking if you are okay with saying you are transfeminine/transmasculine, in a way that you have to disclose your assigned gender

Asking how do you know you are the gender you are

Asking if you transitioned/will transition/is transitioning

Asking which social circles know your gender

Asking if you try to present as your gender, and if you are successful

Asking about other marginalized groups you are a part of

Most of the questions are optional, but well, I want to warn before anyone feels pressured to answer something that triggers them.

Well, here’s the survey! It’s rather long, but I hope I get a lot of data anyways.

Trying to follow creators from Heroes so I can possibly keep supporting them in the future

In case you're wondering why I just followed you, any of you.
