I've always noticed that ghastly looks, oddly similar to a cell in develoment inside the woman's utter.

So, Ghatsly is a dead mid-first 1/2 weeks of a pregnancy/egg develoment.

Haunter would be an unborn fetus/embrion.

And Gengar an alredy borned creature that is now dead.

I think the fella would have a more "human" look, as (In my theory) he's an attempt by Playtime scientists to make a perfect immortal being. (Btw, the thing on his neck is a shock collar)
