“You excited?” Jungkook settles beside you in his aisle seat, one he had chosen by shotgun or whatever, setting his backpack in the small space between the seats of the chair. “Mhm.” You nod, looking out the window against which the rain was splattering loudly. It’s late at night, around 11 pm or so, and your train is destined to leave in a few minutes now.

Finally going back to Busan seems fascinating now, the both of you had spent many years of your lives together in your hometown but had moved to Seoul at the age of 20 because Jungkook had wanted to pursue his music. And, of course, you had moved too because even imagining a day without him scared the shit out of you. You were now mature adults, going back to your parents’ home after 6 years of living away from them.

It’s exciting, to say the least, but Jungkook had obviously had to book tickets for the last train leaving for Busan.
