a/n: i made them roommates cause i can, okay? i've got another enemies to lovers trope with this man 🤧 but hey why not? requests are open btw~!

"look at me, baby, i'm not annoying right?"

"for the last time, jeon, i'm not your baby!"

but you want to be. you're not telling the irritating prick though, he's got his ego fed daily anyway. you scrunch your nose at the smell of alcohol wafting from your roommate. he's leaning on you for support, his face buried in your hair. "your hair smells nice, you know that? i use it too, you know?" you look at the gleeful thief, realization written all across your features.

"that was you?!"

"is anyone else other than you and me living here?" jungkook gasps, his tipsy gaze on you.

"are you, oh my god, have you brought other people here?! into our space, i'm gonna cry now, i will." you look at the man infront of you, scolding you for "tainting" your place, saying it was a place only for you two and follows you to the kitchen, gulping down the cold glass of water you give him, failing to notice the puzzled look on your face.

"since when do you care if i bring someone home?" jungkook mimics your expression, eyebrows furrowed. "why would i not care, should be the actual question." you sigh and look at him, "this is my property as much it is yours, okay? i can bring whoever i want, jeon, just like how you do every other night." you walk past him, bumping into him purposely. he holds your wrist, pulling you back. "i haven't brought anyone in a while, we both know that." you do know that, you put it down to the numerous noise complaints you've gotten from your neighbors and you threatening to cut him out from the rent agreement. you weren't going to do anything close to that but it seemed to do the trick.

you pull your hand from him and shrug, "but you used to and that gives me enough reason to bring anyone i'd like." "i won't let that happen." you look at jungkook's sudden serious expression, unreadable eyes not helping with the fact that the conversation took a weird turn. "do you hear yourself? you sound ridiculous, how much exactly have you had to drink tonight?" jungkook scoffs and steps closer to you, "this isn't the alcohol speaking, baby, i've been sober for a while, you know that right?"

him calling you baby shouldn't get your mind hazy and get your heart fluttering. you try to push the thought out of your head, mouth opening to retaliate. you go on about how selfish he is, subjecting you to terrible ear torture. you scold him and complain about the undone dishes, stationery and books all over the place. he takes the impromptu speech you're giving him quietly, dark eyes boring into yours. when you're done, he pipes up, "its not like you're the best roommate there is, yeah? what about my missing clothes, hmm? my candles, my perfume even!" he lists all the things you've silently and knowingly stolen from him, voice getting louder.

"if i'm so terrible then, i'll leave! i don't want to stay with someone so infuriating!"

"go on! then leave!"

"fine, i will!"

"alright then!"

you note the sudden change in closeness, chests heaving and bodies almost touching. you look anywhere but jungkook, mind reeling from your pointless argument. you both know you can't leave, you have nowhere to go and rent is too-

"how mad would you be if i kissed you?"

"not that mad really, why?"

pillowy soft lips are on yours, his long fingers in your hair and a hand on the small of your back, pulling you impossibly closer. you smile into the kiss, arms looping around his neck. jungkook is the first to pull away, his forehead leaning on yours. "you stole my vanilla chapstick, jeon." "its our chapstick now," he smiles and kisses your nose, pulling you into a softer kiss, different from before, but still as passionate. his soft lips contrast the chill of his piercing, pulling back to give it a tiny kiss. jungkook smiles in content, head falling to your shoulder, placing a peck there.

"let's get to bed, baby."

"your bed?"

"our bed, darling."
