“So..” Kyo says, sitting down next to you as soon as the VLive ends and Maeum and Eun leave the room.

They’re confused as hell—so you’ll have to explain to them later.

“So? So?!” You say, trying your best not to latch out in anger, “You’ve been hanging out with my boyfriend and all you can say is so, Kyo? Seriously?”

“Your boyfriend?!” Kyo scoffs, “Cmon Y/N, it’s a fake relationship for the sake of media. And I was not hanging out with your fake boyfriend, I was simply going to him for advice.”

Advice? You think, what could Kyo possibly go to Jungwon for? What advice?

“He told me Riki likes me,” Kyo sighs, staring at her palms, “and you know what? I’m pretty sure I like him too… I just suck at confessing and… this whole relationship thing.”

“Wait—what?” You say, confused at what you just heard. You were expecting some kind of massive betrayal from Kyo, something like well.. I may or may have not stolen Jungwon from you or something on the lines of that.

You definitely weren’t expecting this conversation to be about Riki, Jungwon’s member.

“Yeah.” Kyo frowns, “Sorry I was being so secretive. It was just really embarrassing, you know? I went to my member’s fake boyfriend to ask advice on how to ask out one of his members.. it sounds so stupid.”

“No Kyo, it isn’t.” You say, grasping the girl’s hand in yours, “Im sorry for thinking you were betraying my trust and that you would ever come in the way of me and Jungwon. You’re right, this is a fake relationship and I was such a bitch to accuse you of betraying me. Im sorry.”

“No, I’m sorry.” Kyo says, smiling at you slightly, “I should’ve told you no matter how embarrassing it may sound, because we’re members. More importantly, we’re best friends and I don’t want to ruin our friendship over some dude, okay?”

You giggle at that, nodding.

The rest of the night was spent with you and Kyo watching horror movies, so basically like Sunoo and Riki, and then watching Disney movies to create a happier mood.

You were thankful you and Kyo were able to talk it out. After all, the two of you were members who had just debuted, meaning you would be on the same boat for a long time, and it’d be way too awkward if you two were mad at each other.

What Kyo didn’t tell you however, was that it wasn’t just advice that Jungwon gave her.

Jungwon and her had kissed. When meeting, the two went over how they’ve never been in an actual relationship before, hence, never getting their first kiss. Jungwon, being a brave soul, leaned in, giving the girl a kiss on the lips. Her and his first kiss; and the two ended up giving each other a few pecks while eating Kyo’s favorite, tteokbokki.

They had promise to never tell anyone, not even their own members. It was for their own good, they thought, it was to keep both groups sane and away from the public eye.

No rookie wants a scandal before their first win, now did they?

a/n: oh my god, it’s finally here haha. i absolutely cannot believe that this story is over, because it meant everything to me throughout the last year, and throughout the time hyun was gone. i’m so glad to have gotten to share this with you, and i could cry at the love you’ve shown me. i’ve poured everything into this chapter, and i hope you guys love it so much and that i didn’t disappoint.

Hyunjin liked to believe that he was a precise person. He was careful, determined, and usually on time. As a dancer, he’d become more meticulous than most people, realizing how precious time was, especially when he worked on such thin deadlines always. He was used to a routine, to being present at the studio at the early crack of dawn for most of his young life, because he would be the one feeling the loss of his practice hours, if his show turned out less than perfect. He knew that the only person who could carry his performance to perfection was himself, and perhaps that was a lot of pressure on him, but he had grown into it, and it was now a part of who he was.

Hyunjin liked to believe that he was not late. Most days.

Today was not one of those days.

He let out another groan, watching his friend Felix, from the doorway as he haphazardly tossed jackets in a duffel bag.

“What? I’m going as fast as I can!” Felix responded to the noise of frustration, turning around to grab another pair of jeans from the dresser.

“Well, Yongbok, it’s not fast enough” Hyunjin sighed, as Felix dumped items in the bag.

“We are not going to miss the bus, Jinnie, just calm down” He reassured, as he slipped off his sweatpants, now stood in his underwear.

“What the hell are you undressing for?” Hyunjin’s eyes widened “We need to have left the house ten minutes ago, this is not the time to change”

“Since when are you so anal about time? It’s not like they’ll leave without us” Felix shot back, as he jumped into a pair of jeans, one leg at a time, far too slow for Hyunjin’s liking.

He rest his head on the doorway, eyes shut “You don’t know. They just might”

“Oh stop. As if your girlfriend will let them go without you”

“My girlfriend? Felix I already told you - ”

“Yeah yeah yeah. She’s not your girlfriend yet, but you’re in love with her, and she’s in love with you and you’ve already fucked countless times so I think calling her your girlfriend may not be too far off”

Hyunjin sighed “Are you done?”

“Jungwonie, can we talk?” Jay asks as he peeps his head through Jungwon’s and Riki’s shared room.

“Yeah, sure.”

“Uh, I’ll just leave then,” Riki says as he gets up, “bye Jongseongie hyung~”

“You’re such a menace Riki,” Jay sighs as Riki runs off laughing loudly, bumping into Sunoo who screams at him for not watching his steps.

“They’re so loud,” Jungwon gives Jay a small smile, “anyway, what did you want to talk about?”

“Is there anything going on between you and Kyo?”

Wait.. huh?

Jungwon swore his heart froze for a minute.

“Sorry?”

“Well I dunno,” Jay shrugs, “I just saw her messaging you. Quite a lot actually, like 10 messages all at once.”

“Ah..” Jungwon laughs nervously, “Ah it’s nothing hyung, don’t worry about it! We’re just sending each other memes to work off the nervousness before shows.”

“Right,” Jay says, giving Jungwon a slight frown. “Sorry I asked.”

“No need to apologize!” Jungwon squeaks, “Now please get going hyung, I need to sort out some stuff. Leader duties, ya know?”

He pushes Jay out of the room before the elder could say another word. Jungwon’s body slides down against the door frame, sighing in relief.

That was close, he thinks.

Little does he know; that was the least of his problems.
