Valentine Monty was in love with Scribonia since they both were teens. His mother lived in some sort of denial and when - well - he knocked up Silvia Capitano, she was ecstatic of this all and planned everything for them. Silvia was really happy about it.

The truth is, Silvia wanted to marry into Monty family for a long time, but couldn't make Valentine forget about Scribonia. So... when she found out that she attended the same college as Scribonia on one party she kinda forced Octavius on her and the rest is history. Valentine was furious and broke up with Scribonia - and then Silvia made her move. She was sure that Valentine will marry her if she becomes a mother of his child.

Andromache Thebe and Hector Albion were meant to be married. Probably they would have, even though Andromache is a lesbian. Arranged marriages I guess.

However, both their mothers died and there was no one to force them into it. As they were friends, Andromache agreed to be a mother for Hector's baby so they could produce an heir.

Also, Hector's family promised Andromache a lots of money for doing this (she would've done it anyway).

Scribonia made sure Octavius was well aware of her being unhappy with this sick situation.

She and Valentine managed to explain everything with eachother. They made up and decided they need to do something - neither of them wanted to be married and have families with sims chosen by their parents.

Long story short: Scribonia Capp was dating Valentine Monty and her mother didn't approve of it. So she was thrilled when Scribonia got pregnant by Octavius in a one night stand at university (which made her drop off).

Needless to say, this was something that Scribonia wasn't happy about.
