The crowd roared in both shock and excitement, but Donghyuck could only gasp.

“Dragalge?” He called. “Dragalge, are you alright?”

As the dust began to settle, he could see his Pokémon laying on the floor. He fell to his knees and stared at you as you recalled your Pokémon wordlessly. Then, you turned on your heel and exited the arena, gone as quickly as you had come. You ducked out of the stuffy arena, out into the cool night.

Reigning Champion of Castelia City’s underground battle arena, Donghyuck, had it easy. He would be challenged by trainers that didn’t push him to his limits. until he comes across his rival from the past. 

He remembers you as the girl who couldn’t fend for herself when she ventured outside Littleroot. Seeing you grow into the girl you are ignites something in him.
