I'm happy that now there are people who put the nostalgia glasses aside and give the new a chance...

I just wish that all world were like this...but rise of the tmnt has already shown me that not everyone likes changes and the new...

I just hope the best for the reboot...

This page is a Safe Space for Gen 3 of Monster High. As older fans we set the precedent for what younger fans think is acceptable behavior. Those of you absolutely tearing gen 3 to shreds: Dial it back or get out. Monster High taught you better than this.

Stop whining about it to Garrett Sanders, he's allowed to enjoy watching the franchise he helped create grow into something new. Also he's a human, if I have limits for negativity, then so does he! We all do.

It's ok to miss the original voices without being weird or gross about it. Stop harassing the new voice cast, they were hired to do a job, and many of them are Monster High fans themselves. Remember they are human beings too, they see and read all of your nasty little comments. If you wouldn't say it to your parents or your friends: don't say it to them. Have some decency.

Gen 3 of Monster High, like it or not, is already leagues more diverse than G1 & even G2 of Monster High. Because the core cast is more diverse than ever before. The diversity we're getting in G3 is important because it's diversity that the writers & doll line likely won't be able to easily shove aside like G1 did.

As good as the diversity in G1 of Monster High was, please stop looking at it from a nostalgic lense. A LOT of G1 MH's diversity ended up just being tokenism. Culturally significant characters like Skelita were often shoved aside after their initial debut.

And already G3 of MH showed us they weren't gonna let that happen. Not this time. We have Monster High's first Fully out fully cannon not hidden in subtext Queer character in Frankie Stein. We finally have our first Latina and Asian characters as part of the main cast with Draculaura & Lagoona. Clawdeen and Cleo finally have correct casting after previously being voiced by a white woman. And yes all of those things are worth celebrating and people are allowed to celebrate.

Let fans of G3 enjoy this reboot at what it has to offer. Just because you personally hate it does not mean the rest of us have to. Your opinion is not the only opinion to ever exist.

yeh, actually I'm very supportive of change when they go in! especially if a certain character goes through several versions with the same personality to the point of being repetitive (*cough* tmnt leonardo *cough*) oh yes the changes are much more than welcome!!

I'm tired of frenkie being "boy crazy"! frenkie being non-binary and a curious genius?? sign me up!!

I understand that the original is more to your liking, but this new toraley is very interesting! But I need to see her in action to know what she's like!

Toralei has probably the best G3 design, but one of the worst character treatments.

Like, "elite monster family"? "Old-fashioned", "wants to preserve monster society"? That's as un-Toralei as you can get.

This look slaps, tho.
