I love this breed and I have heard that despite their incredible intelligence, they can do crazy stupid stunts (like getting stuck in trees). What's your crazy Malinois story? I've been having an incredibly dreary and dull few days as depression has been kicking me around like I'm a particularly fun football. I'm curious about your stories

Shade has always been one of my favorite Sonic characters for some reason. I'm not sure why. I like characters with personality, and in her first and only game, she didn't have much at all. She was Ms. Exposition with some xenophobic and haughty commentary here and there.

I suppose I created my own personality for her in my head. I walked into the living room while my siblings were watching TV, and this episode of Superhero girls (i think was the name) was on. It was about Wonder Woman and introducing her to the culture of the modern world. For some reason that struck me. I thought that would be a hilarious quirk for a high ranking elite soldier like Shade, who is probably the closest to an organic robot as possible, to interact with Sonic's world like that. Like if Amy or Sonic try to teach her slang, foods, modern technology [which is below her military tech but more geared for luxury and comfort], etc. and her being astounded and confused.

I suppose something that attracted me to this character, other than her military prowess and stoic personality (not like Blaze's shy stoic, as she has a temper, but a calm and calculating one. The ice to Blaze's fire), but by Shade's suit. Shade, while most likely stronger than average, is one of the closest to being "normal". She has no powers. Her greatest strength is her suit, her combat prowess/experience, and her tactical mind. She's like Batman, Wonder woman, Black Widow, and a bit of Captain America combined.

Awesome gadget/tactical suit like Batman, her weapons are comparably archaic but enhanced in some way like Wonder Woman, she specializes in stealth like Black Widow, and is a leader of both armies and squads like Captain America.

I just wish she had a distinct personality that is different from others. Like perhaps a military or overly logical...I dunno. I just really like her.

What I really think would be cool is if Amy [if she even appears] would be adopted by Rachel and Randell. Not only would it put some distance between the Wachowski family so that any romantic ties between Amy and Sonic wouldn’t be weird, but also give Jojo a cool hammer swinging big sister and allow Jojo to join the cast more often. Also, I am curious if Rachel genuinely doesn’t like Sonic and his friends/family or that it’s because he and Tails are associated with Tom and that’s why.

Upon first watching this, I honestly thought they were dating.

I was scrolling around (at the speed of sound) and saw a cute little comic of DBD's Ghostface and a survivor. And for whatever reason, I heard Makoto from Free %Off as his voice and now I hate myself as I cannot unhear that.

I understand not liking something or that it is not to your taste. But I am tired of things that I like being shit on constantly. If you don't like it or prefer something else, don't keep bringing it up or getting rude at someone else for liking it. Of course, this post is about the whole IDW vs Archie, but I believe it can be applied to many things.

I grew up with Archie somewhat, but only a Readers Digest every 4-6 months because we rarely went out. I grew up with disjointed comics and honestly? bad art. I have some of Tracy Yardley's back before he really got into a groove and colourers didn't really seem to care so there were lots of off-model colouring. When we finally got internet at my age of 14/15, I was immediately drawn in by the UK's Sonic the Comic. It was odd, it was trippy, and overall very memorable and fun for me (even if unintentionally). Amy was my favorite character and I would draw and write her like STC's scrappy tomboy Amy (doesn't help that I was doing archery at the time so I latched onto a cool female archer character). However, there wasn't very much recognition for my favorite comic, so I made do with Archie.

When Archie Sonic was canceled, I was upset a bit, but I saw it coming (fuck Ken Penders). When IDW picked it up, the consistent art and bright colours lured me in as well as building off of what Forces should've been (which is to say "good"). I loved Tangle and Whisper and for a bit Whisper was my new fixation (Rouge will forever be my absolute favorite Sonic female). But I noticed a massive amount of hate. I knew this would happen because fandoms rarely let a cancellation slide, let alone a fandom like Sonic. Especially to be replaced by another series with no returning original cast.

However, I was hoping it would disappear over time and Archie Sonic is remembered as "fun, dramatic, and mostly well written." especially as it was the longest running video game based comic ever (that I know of). But it hasn't. IDW isn't perfect, Ian Flynn isn't perfect, Sega isn't perfect, nor is Sonic Team. The writing can be off, Flynn does have the odd urge to put random music lyrics into dialogue awkwardly, Shadow is...off putting for any fan to say the least, the pacing could be better, and the constant delays are incredibly annoying.

Criticism is one thing, but constant hate and shit stirring is another. Please stop and be kind to your fellow fans. There are plenty of Sonic media for anyone. Whether it be games; Classic era, Adventure era, "modern" era, etc. Shows; SATAM, AOSTH, Prime, Boom, Underground. Movies; Sonic Cinematic Universe, OVA. Or Comics; Archie, IDW, STC, manga, etc.

So please calm down and either enjoy or at least appreciate what we have or go back and reread what you already love. Or make your own. That is always an option. I do sometimes, I even created a "Reboot" universe of sorts with my sister (though i am too scared to share it)
