I Have This Headcanon Based On Some Pieces Of Lore That The Protheans Saw Potential In Humans And Wanted

I have this headcanon based on some pieces of lore that the Protheans saw potential in humans and wanted to give us biotic abilities just like they did (at least in part) to the asari, but that's because they planned to uplift humanity so we could be used as soldiers against the machines in the Metacon War. But when the Reapers arrived they abandoned this project to focus on the new war before giving humans the same gift they gave the asari, and instead focused on the latter. That's because unlike Earth, Thessia has abundant eezo sources around the planet wich could be used to quickly advance their technology, making them a safer bet to lead the next cycle against the Reapers. But if the Reapers hadn't arrived our species would be made natural biotics like the asari, and given a brief mention of the Leviathans forcing the scientists on Mahavid to study "the evolutionary implications of human biotics", maybe with time humanity will naturally surpass the asari in that aspect.

So I didn’t post this right away since somebody already lifted the scripts off the original twitter posts, and I’ve been too busy being feral on twitter–but @dorito-with-no-weakness pointed out I have a decent following and some people may miss the other posts, so–

The fact that a third of dabb’s script got omitted and then more got cut is godawful but it is what it is. Some peace on old things, some new questions on others, and a lot of “we been knew.”

Me? Starting another ongoing WIP even though GTFA isn’t finished yet?? It’s more likely than you think!

If you’re into secret dating, Quidditch, magical band battles, and general Venji fluffiness, this fic is for you!!! It’s dual-POV and will be udpating…uh…semi-often? This is essentially the WIP I’m going to work on whenever I cannot get myself to work on anything else because this is simply so self indulgent and fun, but I’m aiming for shorter chapters which hopefully means more frequent updates!!

excerpt;

Benji steps past Mia and shakes Pilar’s hand, then Victor’s. It might be in his head, but Victor swears that Benji lingers against his touch for a moment. “Benji Campbell,” he says. “Welcome to Hogwarts.”

“Um, thanks,” Victor says, and there’s something in his voice that only Pilar recognizes; she gives him a little scandalized smile. In return, he kicks her in the shin. “Everyone’s been super welcoming already.”

“That’s good to hear,” Benji says, smiling down at him and then seemingly remembering himself. He clears his throat and makes for the compartment exit, stopping beside Mia. “We, uh, we should go finish our rounds, I guess.”

“Your rounds,” Mia says. “I’m just tagging along to make sure you don’t make a fool of yourself.”

Benji snorts. “I don’t think that’s possible.”

“You making a fool of yourself or me preventing it?”

summary: Benji’s heart is still broken, and his bakery is limping through the holiday season, not certain to see the new year. Victor’s got his sights set on a promotion at work until Benji catches his eye and makes him consider loosening up, just a little. Just enough. Awkward flirting, pining, and baking ensue. word count: 16,342 excerpt:

“Well, have fun tonight,” Benji says once the transaction has gone through.

“What? Oh, right, the party. Whoo!” Victor says, and Benji can’t tell if he’s being sardonic or badly forcing enthusiasm. “Yeah, can’t…can’t wait.”

There’s a pause during which the two men just look at each other, similar to the pause that occurred the day previous.

“Um. Yeah. Thanks again. See you around,” Victor blurts, and then he practically runs out the door. The sound of the door chime has never been so sad.

It was hard to choose just three characters, but in end I went with these!

So a super soldier with celestial powers (maybe a nephilim since two out of these three are humans?) that dedicates their life to keeping people all over the world safe, specialising in fighting against monsters be they supernatural or lab created? I guess that's it.
