i kind of really liked how the mom is the one to seek out mc and bring her to seokjin. and she has a fucking gun as well??? i kinda expected eunbi to be the one to bring mc in, but also out. that the guilt pf brining a pregnant woman to her love straved traumatised son would drive her to help mc escape. but i was so wrong 😭😭

honestly this whole entire story is just so fucking great. mc realising how nice and likeable jin actually is made my fingers tingle a bit ngl. because even though seokjin thinks clara left (or died?? left and then got into a car accident? im not sure lol) he still wants to love and give mc his absolute EVERYTHING and im here for that :0

In a bedroom dormant of light, a man sits on a wooden rocking chair, hauntingly abandoned in the corner of the room. Smoke spews from between his plump and dry lips as he sniffles, his eyes heavy, desperately craving sleep, but he stays stubborn, intently staring at the empty crib before him. Wishing for what never will be. 

“Oh, where oh where can my baby be?” He drawls, murmuring lowly whilst his head bows, a finger trailing down a creased photograph where a woman sits on a bench, smiling and beaming with life with her hand pressed against the swell of her growing tummy.  His sob is sudden, but yet gut wrenching. There’s a deep despondency in his voice as he continues to sing, the picture slipping through his fingers just as they did, 

“They’ve gone to heaven so I gotta be good…” 

There’s another sniffle, cutting through the heart-rending melody before the rattle of pills resounds throughout the room. The plastic cup clings against the wooden floor when he purposely drops it, his sobs uncontrollable as he gulps the capsules that are too much and he knows it, but it is what he wants.

He stands, the picture on his lap forgotten, reaching for a wedding ring and a bottle of golden liquor. The man takes a swig when he sits again, sighing deeply whilst longing for the future that no longer existed, so there was no point in existing himself. 

But yet, through his tears, he smiled with a sob, for he believed they weren’t too far, just around the corner and awaiting his return. 

And so he shut his eyes, clinging to the hope that he was reunited with his little family for the rest of forever.

Some habits were hard to shake. So despite having the day off, she woke up at seven sharp. Rolling over to squint across the room and find Binna still sleeping, she proceeded to shuffle out of bed. 

Thoughts of how to spend her day floated vaguely through her head as she shut the bathroom door behind her.

People would be surprised, she imagined, to find that she didn’t plan every minute of every day—she just planned the productive hours of most days.

 In high school, Y/N had been voted most likely to become a CEO before age thirty, and there were far worse superlatives to be associated with.

Maybe there was even some truth to that one, but it was coincidental. She was now studying business with every intention of climbing the corporate ladder to the very top. 

There had never been a doubt about how she would go about achieving her goals, either. Y/N was focused, level-headed and disciplined—according to teachers past and present.

But a small feeling of dissatisfaction she just couldn’t quash kept surfacing as of late. Somewhere along the line friends; family, maybe even classmates, professors and acquaintances, had come to think of her as predictable.

No, they didn’t phrase it in that way exactly, but it couldn’t be much more obvious. Spontaneity was not her strong suit, admittedly. But somehow the fact that people thought she was chained to routine and sameness made her feel…pathetic.

North became south, and west became east. Any direction you pointed yourself in, you would find yourself trailing deeper and deeper into the woods where too many tourists and even a few locals never came out of.

You swore the forest was even playing tricks on you. Swearing that each tree looked the same, and the fog got thicker with each step you took. You didn’t stop your hurried walking, to try and get out of the forest as quickly as possible, until you heard a snap of a twig from behind you. Slowly turning your head, something you never thought in your twenty-two years of life you would ever see was standing right above you on a rock.

It was a wolf.
