It's not enough to just acknowledge you're flawed. You have and can change, and your f/o wants to help you do that. But even so, you deserve to be supported along the way, be told to be patient with yourself, and that they are still proud of you, all of you.

You will improve.

Your F/O would never shame you for how messy your space has gotten. They know how hard it can be to find the motivation to tidy up.

They don't expect you to do it all at once, and they certainly won't nag you about it. They know that being reminded just makes the task feel more overwhelming, so they will follow your lead.

Your F/O respects your privacy even as they help. If you tell them that you don't want them looking in a certain area or touching certain things, they respect it. It's your room, after all.

Your F/O is happy to help; even if it means picking up trash or putting dirty clothes in the laundry. They will help you find places to put things away, and they'll rejoice with you every time you find some money in an unexpected place.
