Can absolutely confirm all of this. Like literally had to fill out a form recently that divided up my labour for management recently and about 60% of what I do is just sitting with people and teaching them shit.

Computer basics, tech support, guiding through government forms, health tests, photocopying and legal information, registering them for coops, helping with food programs, like. Its never ending.

Then there's the community outreach to schools, businesses, firehalls, you name it. Because I'm the *only* librarian at my rural branch, I *am* the library to my community. I can't give less than what they need or they simply go without.
