y’all better start putting white!reader on stories really if you’re going to make a moodboard where the love interest is very obviously white.

...it sends a message. when i see those moodboards, it’s very obvious who the story is for.

it’s just like when I write black reader stories with a black woman in the moodboard. I am sending a message to black readers, I’m telling them that they can find representation here, and I won’t ever lie about it.

other people can read the stories, obviously, but I still have a specific (and often ignored) reader in mind. you’re doing the same thing.

pleeeeaaaasse don’t act like you have this overarching branch of representation when you have those typical white coded markers in the story and like...an actual picture of a white woman sksksksk. it’s the feigning innocence and inclusion that gets under my skin.
