I chose the flute because I played a Dora game on my Leappad when I was 5 or something, and I loved the sound of the flute when I played the little matching cards game.

Ever since then I had wanted to play the flute.

fun fact: i was very close to becoming a violist

When we were first choosing our instruments at school, literally iN THE LINE to tell the teacher which instrument we wanted to play, I was deciding between violin and viola, and chose violin at the last second.

I could be called the “violist” of our first violins though, not because I suck but because I fit a lot of other viola stereotypes (like being a frikin nerd and making a classical music tumblr)

Honestly though if I had chosen viola I would never have fallen in love with playing classical music and I’m so glad I made the decision to play violin.
