I went on a date...

I was uncomfortable to say the least but I thought "maybe it's normal for dates to be awkward" and kept going. We were at a Barnes and Noble, because what could go wrong around one of my favorite things?

I tried to talk and make conversation but he came off too passive-aggressive. I thought he was nice but hoped he didn't approach too much because I didn't want to offend him by rejecting his touch. I hoped he wouldn't like me because I did not want to have another date.

After the date he said "... You were so nervous it was cute." I didn't want to be cute, I just wanted to not be there. That date, somehow, made one of my favorite places feel uncomfortable.
