what skamfr has done with imanes season is so disrespectful to imane as a character, as a black woman as a muslim woman, and as a black muslim. she was vilified to an extreme. they painted her as an evil and vindictive black muslim girl who was out to ruin her white friends happiness…how is that okay?? the girls squad verbally cut her down and make her feel small…how is that okay? they took ingrid the fetishizing racist side over imanes…how is that okay? they completely disgarded the blatant racism that imane faced from ingrid and even the girl squad themselves. i was watching something extremely traumatic that most of us black girls have felt before when facing racism head on. feeling like the villain when you’re actually the victim of racial ignorance. where was the effort to write a cohesive season for the black muslim lead when david and niels did it well enough for elu last season???? why doesn’t she deserve the same kind of treatment?? idk i’m just extremely disappointed and sad
