𝐼'𝓂 𝐵𝒶𝒸𝓀!

Hello my absolute lovely followers! I’m back! I’ve been on quite a hiatus, due to work, school, & family. My life has been so busy since 2020 started up! January was quite the busy month with heading back to college & work, my cousin’s baby being born, my cousin & my friend both turning 20, having 1 mental breakdown, & the flu sadly going around the school I work at.
February has begun y’all! Also been a busy 5 days for me! I have turned 20 years old, watched the 2020 Super Bowl on my Birthday with my family, celebrated my cousin’s baby turning 1 week old, been to a Sunday Farmer’s Market, caught a nasty sinus cold, watched Maleficent 2: Mistress of Evil for the first time, gotten my nails done to celebrate my birthday, & gotten through 2 days of work this week.
Watch out for new posts coming soon! I love & missed y’all so freaking much!

Hey y’all! So I’ve been hanging around Tumblr and looking at accounts. I think I’m going to take time to re-do some posts, make my page more organized & clean, and finish un-finished posts. I have a lot of time on my hands now that my current college semester is coming quickly to a close & I have about 1 or 2 weeks before the next semester begins. If things start to look weird on my page I’m just re-creating my account! I love y’all!

The Death of His Majesty King George VI
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
𝒟𝑒𝒸𝓁𝒾𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝐻𝑒𝒶𝓁𝓉𝒽
In 1939, The United Kingdom entered into the World War 2. The stress of the war & almost being killed at Buckingham Palace with his wife by 2 German Bombs, took a toll on King George’s health. The King began to develop many health issues, some problems like Lung Cancer coming from his heavy smoking addiction. Due to King George's declining health he had to: Postpone a tour of Australia & New Zealand in March 1949, have his daughter Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II & His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh do a month long tour of Canada after the tour had been delayed for a week in October 1951, in November 1951 the King's State Opening of Parliament had to be read by Lord Chancellor The Right Honorable Gavin Turnbull Simonds, 1st Viscount Simonds from his throne, & his 1951 Christmas Broadcast had to be recorded in sections & edited.
Lung Cancer: Lung Cancer claims more lives each year than any other cancer like prostate or breast. People who smoke have the greatest risk of lung cancer because the chance can increase over the length of time of smoking, what you’re smoking, & how much you have smoked over that period of time. Smoking can cause damage to the cells that line the lungs & change the lung tissue. King George’s left lung was removed by Welsh thoracic surgeon Sir Clement Price Thomas, after a malignant (cancerous) tumor was found in the lung on Sunday, September 23rd, 1951.
Atherosclerosis: A build up of cholesterol plague in the walls of arteries causing obstruction of blood flow. This can cause the arteries to harden & narrow which causes the blood flow to be blocked. It’s normally what causes heart attacks & strokes. King George developed an Arterial Blockage in his right leg, which then turned to threaten his left leg but was treated with a surgical procedure called Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy in 1949.
Buerger's Disease: A rare disease of the arteries & veins in both the arms & the legs. The blood vessels become inflamed, swell, & can become blocked with blood clots. This eventually damages or destroys skin tissues & can lead to either infection or gangrene.
On Thursday, January 31st, 1952, His Majesty King George traveled to Heathrow Airport to say goodbye to Elizabeth & Phillip before they began their tour in Australia via Kenya. The King was not advised by family, friends, & his doctor to not go to the airport. That night when the King traveled to Sandringham House & went to bed, he had suffered from Coronary Thrombosis in his sleep. He was found dead the next morning.
Coronary Thrombosis: A formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel of the heart caused by a buildup of cholesterol & fats in the artery walls. This blood clot restricts blood flow within the heart & the blood will clot because there is not enough room for it to flow. The causes of CT are high LDL Cholesterol, Smoking, Sedentary Lifestyle, & Hypertension.
3 days after the King’s death, his coffin rested at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham before being laid in state in Westminster Hall at Palace of Westminster in Westminster, London. As his coffin was transferred from one location to another over 300,000 people filed past his coffin in London, including foreign royals & heads of state
His funeral took place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. At 9:30AM on Friday, February 15th, the mile long journey to Westminster Hall began. Big Ben rang 56 times & 56 artillery salutes of 56 guns were fired at both Hyde Park & The Tower of London for the age of the now deceased King. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, watched the funeral procession from a window inside Marlborough House.
In the procession walked 4 Field Marshals (Alanbrooke, Ironside, Montgomery, & Slim), 4 Admirals of the Fleet, 4 Marshals of the Royal Air Force, An Escort of The Household Cavalry, Pipers, The band of The Scots Guard, The Earl Marshal, The King’s Personal Servants, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip The Duke of Edinburgh, His Royal Highness Prince Richard The Duke of Gloucester, His Royal Highness Prince Edward VIII The Duke of Windsor, & His Royal Highness Prince Edward The Duke of Kent. Following the procession included Heads of State, Foreign Royals, Diplomats, Other Dignitaries, Police, & Fire Service
In a carriage behind the King’s Coffin were Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Her Royal Highness The Princess Margaret The Countess of Snowdon, & Her Royal Highness Anne The Princess Royal.
The funeral procession went past St. James’s Palace, Piccadilly, Hyde Park Corner, Marble Arch, Edgware Road, & Sussex Garden all the way to Paddington Station. After the coffin arrived at Paddington Station, The King was taken by train to Windsor Castle. On the coffin lay the Imperial Crown, Orb, Scepter, & a Wreath of both White Lilacs & White Carnations in the shape of the George Cross. The King was interred in the Royal Vault & was transferred to King George VI Memorial Chapel inside of St. George’s Chapel.
