I think a large misconception about Dan’s video has to be the whole “Phan” thing. It is definitely not the point of this beautifully formed video. However it is still nice to think about how Dan talks about Phil in the video. He did mention what he had or has with Phil very clearly and that is very important because it’s what saved him. He cares so much about Phil and it is sooo important that Phil was able to be this safe place. What Dan doesn’t want with “phan” is for you guys to analyze their every words to see what they are or what they’re doing. They want private lives but that doesn’t change the fact that this was a big part of helping him feel happy and protected in a time of vulnerability. Shipping is fine as long as you leave it at just being cute together. Not overthinking their every move just bc they are cute together. There are boundaries, just learn to respect them.
