Her arms wrapped around his neck, as though she wanted to hold him with her whole body, and he squeezed his eyes shut, letting her love wash over him. He wished there was no gag over his mouth, no guilt stifling his voice. That he could tell her of his past, of what he had been through, of how this wasn’t new for him, of how much it hurt to be treated like an object and never asked what he wanted first.
