Hi, Multimedia Design Student here, one that studies Script and Narrative, that also sees Semiotic and Psychology of Communication :D someone that is learning how to do literary and technical scripts, with storyboarding as well. Therefore media literacy is important to me because of my studies :>... And... That episode and show sucks.

Notice how that doesn't really explain why it sucks? Yeah, because criticizing doesn't work if all you do is say "take a class of X".

That show lacks the proper context clues of past media to properly interpret Loki. It also has it's flaws on visual storytelling (Things that Avengers 2012 did amazing when displaying Loki, he was an excellent case of "show not tell" in his mistreatment after his suicide attempt).

Besides, I can also criticize his "character development" as it was rushed, and incoherent to the character (a character can change his mindset, it's difficult for his body language to change.) and somethings the show likes to attribute itself with "Loki's development" it's sometimes things that didn't need change or already was there all along (Ex of didn't need change= The outfit S1, S2 made it a bit better || Ex of already was there= Loki caring for others. I don't need explaining here, if you know media literacy so much you should be able to tell).

Anyways, you're allowed to like the show of course, but this moral high ground of "just take a media literacy class" is not it. Because I did, so now what?.

Are people srsly considering the scene where loki calles the NYC Incident "feelings getting out of hand" as good?

He would never fucking say that, man.

It is canon that he was tortured to do it. He was a whole damn mess during that whole thing and now its played down and straight up denied.

Both "the us is bad for it's own citizens" and "citizens of the us love to continue joking about the history of blood and terror they've done to other countries because they can't take it seriously" can both be true and you'll never get any actual change if you don't recognise the latter

it's not that usamericans believe that operation condor is a conspiracy, it's not that they believe usa interventions aren't real, they know that all of that is real and verifiable, they just think it's funny. yanquis and their cronies love to make jokes about oil and natural resources in other countries, they love to make jokes about the atomic bombings, they love to make jokes about intervening other countries, installing puppet dictators, splitting its territory. usamericans of all races and socioeconomic status love to flaunt their blood covered hands as they laugh over their crimes, they really believe the safety of hegemony will last forever.

we can all agree that the mcu loki deleted scenes are good, right? which means that, logically, the show will become good if they just delete all the scenes :)
