ok but 7th year teddy lupin reading to tiny lily luna and changing his appearances to match the characters in the books. changing from the little piggies to the big bad tiger (he refused to say big bad wolf) and the ugly ducklings and I think this totally would have happened.

Do you ever notice yourself getting bad again…like, you know you’re not doing work that needs to be done, you know you’re not cleaning, you know you’re not taking care of yourself… you know all the things you need to do to start trying to feel better. But you just can’t. And you’re left feeling like shit because you thought you were getting better but here we are.

hugo headcanons +family

out of his immediate family, hugo is closest to his mother.

in the extended family, he’s closest to lily

he and lily have a super close awkward relationship –people who don’t know they’re related immediately think they’re dating because they’ll walk around holding hands and snuggle up super close on couches and sleep in the same bed wrapped around each other without a second thought.  they were just raised that close to each other, and they’re just kind of the same person in two different bodies.

when hugo was really young and didn’t understand what ‘cousins’ meant, he had a super huge crush on lily and probably gave her big toddler kisses lots until their parents realized that he was kissing her far too often for it to just be baby friendliness.

hugo and ron don’t really get along for a couple of different reasons

part of it is because hugo feels like he’s a disappointment to his dad.  he doesn’t play sports or even really go outside, which is how ron always tries to bond with him.  

also there’s the whole ravenclaw-not-gryffindor thing that hugo thinks his dad’s disappointed about.

the other part is ron doesn’t understand hugo’s mental disabilities –he’s the typical ‘just get over it’ parent who doesn’t think his son needs to be on those expensive medical potions.

hermione and lily are the only two who really know the extent of hugo’s anxiety disorders.

rose honestly doesn’t even know he has them.  she just thinks he’s a weird loner kid.

the entire weasley-potter clan is extremely protective of hugo –not just rose.

hugo is very conflicted with the whole protective thing.  he likes it because it means people actually care about him, which is very important for people with social anxiety; he doesn’t like it because he’s fifteen for merlin’s sake and he can take care of himself –just because he’s a little different doesn’t mean that he’s helpless.

tbh, rose and hugo don’t get along that well at all. rose doesn’t like this because she loves her little brother dearly and is constantly trying to bring them closer– which is exactly what hugo hates about her.  he likes his own space, and honestly, rose is just too loud for him.

hermionie is the one who indulges in all of hugo’s new obsessions, no matter how expensive the supplies are or how often his interests change.  

she’s especially supportive of his muggle obsessions, like muggle chemistry and literature.  she bought him an entire collection of shakespeare plays and poems, as well as a complete chemistry set with real dangerous chemicals and everything.
