the fucked up thing about Pluto being a dwarf planet isn’t that “oh no it’s a real planet!! fuck you!!”
it’s the fact that they had to reclassify it bc they’ve been finding so many solar satellites around Pluto’s size (some larger) that they either had to reclassify it or start saying “okay so we were wrong there are like two hundred planets and schoolkids are gonna have to get way more creative mnemonics once we finally decide on 180 new names”

It feels like a corporate attempt to improve a brand-tumblr- by starting a slacktivism campaign.

It's not even picking a topic for the slactivism, as if to to not offend anyone.
Heck, a donation drive for the Nepal Earthquake would have been better.
It's obnoxiously on the the top of my dash, reminding me that tumblr got bought by Yahoo and is now doing corporate bullshit innofensive calls to (in)action.
Pretty good campaign for what it is, I like the little graphics. It just strikes me as a really empty gesture.
Maybe i'll change my mind when I see community posts, but at the moment it just makes me sad.
