Okay so I have like a bunch of hobbies ? Keeping the voices at bay is a full time job what can I say. The main ones right now are:

- jewelery making, which is my pride and joy, I have SO MUCH fun making dramatic neckleces and earrings and pants chains ( I do everything really, the only thing that can stop me is wire wrapping, that shit is evil and the people who have mastered it have my complete respect ). It gives me something to do with my hands and something to think about 24/7 bc I'm always constantly thinking about what I could make and it's a way to get a little extra money which never hurts honestly. Also sometimes my sweet lovely clients leave nice reviews which literally breathe life into my soul ( lol if this whole thing made you a little curious this is my insta ) ( I don't use it much though ) ALSO one last thing I love about this hobby is that it makes me feel unstoppable kinda (?) Oh your bracelet broke? Give it to me I'll fix it. Oh you bought this necklace but you've just realized now it's too long? I'll shorten it for you. Oh you like this piece of jewellery that you saw on-line? I'll make it for you. Aldkkxkans it's really cool

- making friendship bracelets but also keychains and banners using embroidery thread. The thing that I love about this hobby is that I can easily make my own patterns so if it can be drawn in pixels I can make it. I haven't really had the possibility to make anything lately bc it takes a LOT of time but I don't really mind , the whole process is actually very calming and normally while I knot I listen to music or to a podcast and I'm set

-lettering, which I became obsessed with several years ago and it just stuck. I actually hate that I'm not home right now bc this would be the perfect occasion to show off my desk which I completely covered in pieces of paper with some of my favorite quotes written on them ( at the center there's a bigger piece of paper full of Epic quotes because that is a necessity in my opinion ) ( I know that what I described is kinda weird and chaotic but that's how it is actually lol). The ironic thing about this one is that my actual handwriting is absolute shit, impossible to read , makes people weep, but my fancy handwriting is really cute and nice :)

Are u ever out and about on ao3 and stumble upon something that is so batshit you have to stop for a moment and question just how??? how did someone come up with this?? Girl I get it I've been listening to the thunder saga every day ever since it came out I've never been so obsessed akdkskkansnnskaksakak consider my brain FRIED

I love all the songs obviously but of I had to choose one from this saga it'd be Suffering. There's something about it that makes it play again and again in my brain

If we're talking about a favourite song that isn't from a musical I'm kinda at a loss because I don't have one favorite song, I normally obsees over some songs for a while until I have listened to them so much I hate them. Before the thunder saga took over I'm pretty sure I was obsessed with average by sushi soucy. and big girl words by honey ironic. and don't ever stop running by Maggie Jean Martin

So. Obviously the Luck Runs Out references in Mutiny are heartbreaking and fantastic.

But I think the song was also setting up some parallels with Puppeteer.

Puppeteer: "There's no length I wouldn't go, if it was you I had to save. I can only hope you'd do the same." Mutiny: "Don't make me fight you, brother, you know you'd have done the same!"

And the thing is, Eurylochus would have done the same. Earlier in the story. During Puppeteer, he wanted to run. He wanted to abandon his men. And Odysseus was the one to fight for their crew. And it worked!! They got out! Odysseus gave them a shred of hope and got them out of an impossible situation! So Eurylochus learns from that. He grows and changes. He becomes someone who refuses to leave his men at the mercy of a monster. Unfortunately, this was around the same time that Odysseus decided to become the monster.

That's the tragedy of it all; they both change, and they're still at odds! Eurylochus is throwing Odysseus's own past heroic decisions back at him. Odysseus retaliates by reminding Eurylochus of his own past cowardice. They don't know each other anymore!! They're two desperate people trying to make the best decisions they can, and they just keep getting people hurt, and they're both so tired.

Puppeteer: "I've got all the power, yeah, I've got all the power-" Mutiny: "If you want all the power, you must carry all the blame!"

In a way, the Eurylochus vs Odysseus conflict parallels the Odysseus vs Circe conflict. And the Circe Saga ended with Odysseus at Circe's mercy as he begged her to let them leave. The Thunder Saga ended with Eurylochus and the crew at Odysseus's mercy, with "Captain? ... But we'll die." Circe spared Odysseus. Odysseus chose to let his men die. He's come full circle, paralleling the enemy he once faced, and then going further than she did.

Does any of that make sense? I don't know, it's almost two in the morning. Anyways, the Thunder Saga ripped out my heart and I'm obsessed with the tragic humanity of all of it!!!
