Levi peered out from the fortress of his curled limbs. “How much longer are you going to stick around here?” His voice cracks, shatters.

Erwin doesn’t reply. Erwin never replies. He just lingers, on the edge of his Captain’s vision. Sometimes even behind closed eyes.

“You’re driving me crazy.” Levi can’t even convince himself. “I’m sick of this…” Pain. Sorrow. Suffering. “Bullshit.” 

Erwin closed his eyes, strong brows knit together. He bent his head in mute apology. 

“Then go. Leave me the hell alone!” 

Erwin didn’t. He stayed beside him all night, like every night. Levi hated himself for weeping.
