Season One of the LovedaySims' Legacy Challenge has FIVE generations. Please find the first generation under the cut as an example.

Suggestions to start out:

No need to start from nothing, but try moving into a >$20,000 starter home using money your founder brought from their wealthy family. After buying the home, you should have no more than $1000 going forward.

You may want to make your founder’s parents along with your founder, since they will have the opportunity to be present in the legacy!

Whims-based gameplay is encouraged — if you’re not sure what to do next, follow your Sim’s whims!

You’ll want to play on a Long lifespan or have custom lifespans with MCCC!

Gen 1: A Different Kind of Magic

Born as the last scion to a powerful spellcasting family, you proved to be quite the “disappointment” when you were, by some twist of fate, born without magic. Rather than presenting you to the Sages for training and ascendance, your parents shunned you, providing only the most necessary of care before you finally left home as soon as you became a young adult.

You could go to the Sages yourself, but you are determined to make your own way – and prove to your parents that “true-blooded” magic is not the only magic. Instead of slinging spells, you turn to the power of crystals.

Bonus: Invite your estranged parents to the wedding…or have them crash it.

Only have one child

Bonus: Try to reconnect with your estranged parents so that your child will have a relationship with her grandparents. Whether it works or not is up to you.

Craft as many crystals as possible and pass them down through your bloodline!

Hints & Tips:

To quickly establish a negative relationship with your estranged parents off the bat, use the cheat: ModifyRelationship Sim1 Sim2 -75 LTR_Friendship_Main

Notes:  For “Sim1” and “Sim2” include Sim’s full name with a space in between each name. The “-75” accounts for a moderately negative relationship; use whatever number suits you!

saige graves gen 6 - legacy heir lovebug (incurable) hopeless romantic dedicated to love in all its forms

Saige and her twin sister Thistle moved to Ciudad Enamorada as soon as they were old enough, seeking love. There, they were set upon wildly different paths of romance, but stuck together the whole time, eventually building and raising a big family within the same household.

You could say Saige had it easy - she found the love of her life as a young adult and never looked back, thriving seemingly effortlessly well into her old age.

Hi everyone! I decided to write my own legacy!

This is an introductory post. You can find Season One of the challenge HERE.

I'm not sure if anyone will be interested in this legacy, but I thought I would go ahead and share it just in case. The challenge itself doesn't have one singular overarching theme. In general, I just wanted to include everything that is fun to Me Personally (while excluding things that are not fun to Me Personally) and put them in an order that would keep my interest and have a storyline that would interest me.

I also decided to chop things up into five-generation Seasons, each of which might (?) have something of a through-line theme, possibly only if you squint. As an example, the first Season starts with the scion of a powerful spellcasting dynasty - and as they and their descendants fall in love outside of spellcasting bloodlines, that dynasty crumbles into pieces, even as the family grows exponentially. The first season has Spellcasters and Werewolves as the main "theme." The upcoming second season will either have no occults or only Vampires.

I am playing this as I am writing it, which means I have just finished playing Generation 5! I made an effort to make the goals achievable with a long lifespan, but not overly frustrating or time-consuming. When a goal in a legacy becomes frustrating, my ADHD kicks in and I find myself becoming bored and losing interest very quickly. Hopefully this works for you, too - and if you decide to play it, please know you are not Bound By The Gods to complete every goal. Always have fun first!

LAST NOTE: I do have almost every pack, and since I wrote this for myself, the generation goals do pick and choose freely from many packs. You are welcome to cut out any and all goals that you can't achieve or that don't work for you. Again - always have fun first!
