(Merry day after Christmas, here’s my desperate attempt at getting back to writing whilst in the midst of recovering after the work day. Smut hinted at just barely because obviously there’s something wrong with me. IT’S SHORT AS HELL, SORRY!)

~Christmas Dilemma~

“Are you kidding me? What the hell??” You scrunched your nose up and turned your phone. “Are you aware they’re not willing to close Feel Good for the Holidays? Does that mean you’re going to have to go back into work tomorrow?” You stared intently at him from your blanket bundle on the couch. He calmly sipped his coffee and proceeded looking at various weather articles on his phone. It would seem all at once that he was totally ignoring you, but instead he was actually just gathering his thoughts to reply as best he could without hurting your feelings. “There’s always work to be done. Cyber security doesn’t take breaks, Y/N.” 

Silence.

‘I supposed I chose the wrong answer then’ he thought to himself. His suspicions were confirmed when he peeked at you and saw the expression on your face. He sighed and placed his phone face down on the table. “I can spend a little time here but I’ve got to go tomorrow. Not because I have to but because I want to. As a board member…nevermind. I don’t expect you to understand the importance of it all.” His words come across as a little condescending but his actions are apologetic as he made his way over to you and adjusted himself to comfort on the couch. You grimaced at his words. “Cool, so I’ll be spending Christmas by myself then?” 

“Not the majority of it. I suppose I’m willing to stay behind for a few hours if it’ll make you happy.”

“No, I want you to stay all day long.” You pout and he rolls his eyes. “Stop being childish. You’ll have the others to spend time with later that evening. Aren’t we doing that stupid secret Santa shit you wanted to do so bad?”

“Yeah but then when everyone goes home, I’ll be alone again. It’s important to me that we spend time together on a day like tomorrow. But I suppose since you don’t want your gift I got you then it’s fine.” His eyes dart over to you for a moment and you smirk. 

If you couldn’t get his attention to stay with anything else then the sure fire way to get it done would be to sweeten him up a little bit.

“What gift? You already gave me everything earlier in the week. What gift are you talking about?” He repeated himself. Although hidden behind his bangs, you could just feel the way they burned into you. “Oh? Just a little outfit I had planned. No big deal or anything like that.”

“Let…let me see it…” It sounded more like a demand coming from him, but you could tell there was some begging buried in there somewhere. “Nah, I mean…I was going to let you see it after everyone left our get together but since you’ve got work tomorrow and can’t be there…”

“I’ll get home early.”

“Nah, you should just get home and get some rest. Don’t worry, I’ll give you the gift some other time.” You shrugged and tried to keep yourself from laughing, playing the nonchalant role to perfection. “FINE! I’LL STAY HOME!” He threw his arms up dramatically before crossing them over his chest. “Just make sure you show it to me as soon as everyone leaves or else.”

“Can do.”

mirio is always excited whenever you show off the clothes you buy from the latest store you’re obsessed with; it’s become his favorite pastime with you.

so far, you’ve modeled two blouses, a skirt, and two dresses. and he loved every single one. it doesn’t matter what you wear—he already adores it. you could walk out in a trash bag, a rusty bucket, and oven mitts, and he’d still worship the ground you walk on.

“okay! this is the last one~” you call from the bathroom. mirio grins from his spot on the edge of the bed. “show me already, sunshine!”

you step out in a yellow, floral-print sundress, paired with yellow-tinted sunglasses and cute sandals.

oh wow.

mirio’s breath hitches.

mirio can’t find the words.

“so~ what do you think?!” you grin, twirling in place as the skirt flutters around you gracefully. mirio stands up, his smile fading into a look of awe as he approaches you, staying silent for once. you furrow your brows, thinking he might not like it.

“i could always retur—”

before you can finish your sentence, he pulls you close, mashing his lips against yours. his hands cradle your face with the gentleness of someone holding the entire world.

and in his eyes, he is.

as he kisses you, his mind races, overwhelmed by how stunning you look and how lucky he is. he pulls away just enough to whisper against your lips, “you’re perfect, sunshine.”

he leans back in for another kiss, this one slower, more tender, his thumbs brushing your cheeks as if trying to memorize every detail of this moment.

“you really like it?” you ask softly when you finally part, your voice breathless and eyes searching his.

mirio chuckles, pressing his forehead against yours. “like it? i love it. but i love you more.”

his words make you blush, and you can’t help but smile, your heart fluttering as he wraps his arms around you, pulling you into a warm embrace.

“guess we should take a picture so you can remember this,” you tease, feeling playful.

“yeah, but i don’t need a picture to remember how incredible you are,” he replies, his tone sincere.

Toons with Caretaker! Reader // Dandy's world

Scenario/writing

I don't know if I would consider this as an AU or some illogical noncanon implement based - but here's my personal idea(I won't take criticism, I'm very self-conscious with what I self-endulge--)

Reader in this scenario is actually one caretaker who has phenomenal ability to clone themselves into multiple versions of them. It was an original idea for the prototype Y/N to be a caretaker that replaced the "missing one" for only one certain toon... in this case scenario, Toodles'. However, what was shocking is that the toons happen to take a liking of the caretaker of the same face... same charisma and tenderness.

So the company decided to expand their research and enhanced Y/N's  capacities to clone themselves for a certain amount of time and train their cognitive and physical strength...

The only condition was for the original Y/N to stay intact in order for the clone to not get affected... and for the caretaking service not to be full-time.

Y/N was considered a "human" with not much personal information written in their files, making a perfect specimen to be recruited as a caretaker.

"Caretaker Y/N held so much love and care for these toons and children." An audio is heard from a tape record, "But keep in mind there is only one Y/N, not the others."

Unlike the original, who is often seen wearing a rainbow uniform. every Y/N caretaker wears respective colors and uniforms that complement the toon assigned.

Eventually... the company eventually abandoned the project along with the Gardenview center. The other caretaker counterparts left as well after acknowledging the crisis of their labor. This left Y/N no longer having maintenance service.

Y/N, being a determined one for the sake of what they care for, decided to bring this matter into their hands...

According to the conditions the Gardenview has been through in the aftermath, with twisted wandering around the floors and mysterious chores leaking in dark places...

They decided to redesign their clones to be capable of teaching toons how to handle situations and keep themselves safe whenever they couldn’t be able to be there at certain times(by that, Caretaker Y/N had to go through all the research collected by the toons, in hope for these twisted  entities to diminish, or some cure for them.)

Of course, these are tough feats. Not even Y/N would handle them by themselves. After a few days scouting around the abandoned ruins, they eventually came to the conclusion to reluctantly accept their beloved toons' assistance, who for some reason have to help with Dandy's little obsession with the tapes...

That's the moment Y/N realizes their rainbow baby just discovered capitalism... (nice.????)

But well- they must have to learn the truth themselves too. They don't deserve to be put in the shadows....not like them, again.

With this transition of events, the toons not only acknowledge the caretaker as their guardian angel who would guide them in necessary circumstances or cherish them. But also a "professor" for some toons like Shelly and Rodger.

"Professor Y/N has a lot of knowledge to offer... from the locations of where fossils are concentrated and how ichor machines function around the building! Even i love asking questions, so they're always happily helping me." Shelly states in an audio tape.

Under their guidance, it allow toons to maintain a safe circle from the chaotic world they're confined in. Offering love, affirmation, rationality, and advice.

Toons, at some point, learned that everything they share with the clones, the original Catetaker would know as well... their contact with the guardian being accessible both directly and indirectly.

This is pretty good for those who wanted to express their feelings so the original can come to them personally when requested... while some prefer privacy and space for themselves, which the Caretaker acknowledges.

As Y/N is the same person, not all toons are the same.

Sometimes, some toons don't mind sharing and prefer to spend time with the original caretaker(who do not mind dropping everything temporarily for both happiness and safety for them). On the other hand... Some prefer to keep the caretaker to themselves, bringing some jealousy.

Nonetheless, Caretaker Y/N remains loving. They cherish all toons unconditionally. Even if cherishing is part of their job, they came into learning how to love them all independently.

Likes to compare the size of your hands with his, theres something special about your fingers wrapping around his that cherishes the Twisted. It may confuse you at first.

In times of danger, the tendrils he can form from the floor actually helps for something else besides hurting other toons. In a blink of a eye, you will be carried like a feather, and carefully being placed next to him.

I have a headcanon that Sprout can hardly talk or anything similar because of Ichor, thats why the grunts. So verbal communication may be a struggle...

Cuddling, snuggling... Main twisteds are great in that(when they want to), and Sprout being the second tallest(or he is the tallest twisted? Dont remember) is a huge bonus, he can hold you tight to his chest with his claw, not having to worry about anyone daring to bother you two, but specially Sprout.

You often have to ask him to crouch so you can kiss his face, the Ichor made him kinda slow...
