Pairing: Loki x reader Series Summary: After making a bet with Odin, Loki finally has a chance to prove he is worthy of being heir to the throne. Under mysterious circumstances, you find yourself stranded on Asgard, left with no option but to team up with Loki and help him win the crown. Now posing as visiting royalty, you must be careful of rumors in court that say you’re not who you claim, all while battling your growing feelings for the raven haired king. But some things are easier said than done because secrets, you’ll soon learn, can be deadly. Chapter Summary: Waking up next to Loki gives you a morning of peace. You begin to work out the treaty. Those were the words echoing in your mind as you woke up, not quite remembering falling asleep. They greeted you in a warm embrace as you shifted your position a little on the silken pillow. That’s when you noticed that someone actually was someone embracing you. So it hadn’t been an angel whispering to you in your sleep, a mere figment of your imagination. Suddenly, you recognized the voice in your head. Loki.

Yes, now you remembered. The fight that sent you spiraling down into a pit of despair. The way he cared for you when he found out you were ill. The potion that had slowly lulled you to sleep after easing the knots of tension in your body. And now you most certainly remembered asking Loki to stay with you, the way he agreed and cradled your body. Then he said those words, telling you you were his little mortal, a rather important distinction.

Based on the cadence of his breathing, Loki was still asleep. Not wanting to wake him up, you carefully turned your head and peered at him. His usually gelled back and meticulously styled hair had been messed up, raven locks falling in front of his face. You’d never seen him like that before, but you thought he looked very pretty. With his natural hair and smooth pale skin and slighted parted lips, how could you not?
