Sorry I haven't been posting art for a while, I've been very busy as I was moving across the country with my family. Good news though we should be mostly settled in our new place in about a week or 2, so I'll be able to draw again real soon (^ u ^)

i've always combined the two main interpretations of kobolds as lizards and dogs into one in my head

been playing "Master Detective Archives: Rain Code" nonstop for the past few days, so... just a warning, prepare for a mountain of fanart to be posted over the next few weeks (no spoilers dw)

Blog Update - 4/2/2023

I never announced it or anything but I have been on hiatus from making art & animations for about a year & a half mainly to focus on more on self-improvement & life stuff, but also because I was experiencing severe burnout to the point that I couldn't finish any of the pieces I started. However, I have been feeling the urge to start drawing again so I've decided that my hiatus is officially over now!

One little change moving forward, to avoid going through burnout again instead of forcing myself to draw I will only be drawing when I truly feel like it, this may mean that the gap between posts will be a bit more random than before. but to try and fill the gaps between finished pieces I will posting my unfinished sketches more often so I can still post something for y'all

also just thought I'd clarify something that i was asked about: The little "as a gifted kid..." comment was relating to people saying he should just shut up & accept the expectations his clan mates have of him regardless of what he thinks, which i heavily disagree with due to my own experiences. because i was labeled as "gifted" from a young age I often felt burdened by the great expectations that my teachers/parents placed upon me, which greatly effected my mental health. so it just kinda makes me feel uneasy that some fans treat him this way due my own personal experiences.

I don't really interact with WC fandom takes that often (cause hoo boy some of them are absolute garbage), but I just want to get this off my chest cause its been bugging me: It really rubs me the wrong way how people call Nightheart "entitled" for changing his name. It is completely valid to change your name for any reason, no ifs and buts about it. you should never be forced to just completely accept all the expectations forced upon you by others, especially if said expectations are actively harming your mental health.

I've even seen some individuals outright refuse to call him by his new name on purpose out of spite for his "entitlement", which feels very terrible when you realize that it sounds frighteningly similar to the reasonings/arguments of irl transphobes (albeit unintentional)

sorry about the rant, but as a trans person and former gifted kid it just really hurts me on a personal level to see these kinds of harmful takes.

the new Bee and Puppycat reboot is good,, but i can't help but feel that its kinda lacking in the story department compared to the original, especially when it comes to the writing of the characters. the story kinda goes all over the place with many subplots being started and then immediately dropped after like 1 line of dialogue.

and although this was a bit of an issue in the OG series too, the voice acting sounds a bit... off during some of the scenes. kinda like the voice actors were given the lines with zero context or guidelines. don't get me wrong i still love the show, but i feel some things about it could perhaps be improved if they make another season.

(Note: this is not meant to be a personal attack on the staff who worked on the show, its just my own opinion about it, and if u disagree with it that's completely fine. just wanted to make that clear)
