I think it's a bit silly when people are like "democrats shouldn't be attacking republicans by calling them Weird, that's just entrenching Normalcy and Weirdness as cultural concepts." first off they're already pretty well entrenched without the DNC's help. second, reactionary forces draw a significant amount of their ideological power from the idea that they represent the forces of Healthy, Normal, Natural Behavior against the Degenerate Freaks.
