Godbox AU: Takes place in a buggy and corrupted version of Mario 64/Mushroom Kingdom. This universe has been claimed by the Godbox long ago, so no SMGs were actually sent there.

Instead, SMG4 and SMG3 are not acronyms for SuperMemeGuardian4 and SuperMemeGuardian3, but are SuperMarioGlitch4 and SuperMarioGlitch3. Both of them used to be non-sentient glitches that wandered the Mushroom Kingdom and appeared as recolors of Mario. 

Wahoo.exe (this world's version of Mario) prayed for some friends that were strong enough to handle him, because everyone else was too weak and fragile to play with him. So the Godbox answered by sending down two pairs of five red rings, each in their own separate USB spacecraft. Each set of rings attached themselves to two Mario-Recolor glitches as their chosen vessels, and gave them sentience. Since glitches could regenerate their bodies, they made the perfect playmates for Wahoo.exe.

But as usual, there is always a bigger plan when the Godbox is involved...

You just have to join me.

It was a silent night in Greenhorne. No wind current. The stars glistened and sparkled like small splatters of white paint on a dark canvas, and the air was cool and fresh. Greenhorne town was a few miles away, so there was no civilization for a while. Arayla sat, barely able to keep her head up, nestled comfortably by the warm campfire. Her and her friends were too far from the Inn and therefore had to crash in a camp for the night. But she hated camps. Last time they did, the Miis were attacked by wild Twerkeys… eugh. She shudders at the thought.

The embers crackled away, ever-so-slowly dying out as the peaceful night continued. Her tired breath came out in little puffs of foggy air, and she was slightly shivering. The princess simply tried to focus on the fire. The ashes, dancing off of the wavering flame. In her opinion, fire had always been mesmerising. But others just called her unhinged. She wasn’t going to argue with them… even though she really wanted to.

The orange glow illuminated her face softly, somewhat just about keeping her awake.

By now, Arayla was nearly asleep. She’d been awake for hours and was starting to seriously consider going inside, not caring about monsters crashing the camp. She just wanted to sleep.

Of course, she was going to get something much different.

She heard a few strange noises to her left. Strange glitching noises. Her tired gaze shifted to the side, staring incredulously at the empty path in front. “...what…” She muttered under her freezy breath. The princess simply tried to shake off the feeling, thinking it was some sort of monster sneaking up on her. She however had her trusty fan by her side, and was prepared to wake the others if such a thing were to happen.

And suddenly, there is a hole ripped suddenly out of mid air. It illuminates the floor beneath it, textures glitching anywhere and everywhere. It almost looked like a portal, but was more of a tear. Stunned, Arayla jumps back, shakily welding her fan in fear. She watches the strange portal, almost expecting it to jump at her. It doesn’t, obviously.

“What in God’s name…”

Her posture eased, however still tightly gripping the fan, as she edged closer to inspect it. Inside, all she could see was a white glow. An endless-seeming tunnel. The random pixels around the outer edge of the portal seemed to blend quite well into the air. Underneath her feet, portions of grass were replaced by black squares or purple chequered polygonal land. Her heart was pounding as she stared at her surroundings in quiet horror. She had no idea what the hell was going on.

Arayla tries to turn back, clearly spooked, but the portal seems to have some sort of air current, pulling her back, calling her. Very much like a moth drawn to a flame, she slowly makes her way back to the tear. For a moment, she stares at it, like it’s some sort of pendulum, lulling her into a tranced state.

A rogue texture underneath her foot glitches, and she’s sucked in, like a skydiver jumping from a plane. For one thing, she wakes up. And she screams bloody murder.

“HELP! HEEEEELP!” She hollers, somersaulting through the now apparent spiral of colours inside the portal. Her voice is distorted by her speed, and also by the portal itself. Nausea comes in waves, the blood rushing to her head as she flails helplessly, desperately trying to cease momentum.

Her heart sinks when she can’t see anybody coming for her.

But little did she know, somebody saw it all. --- Ok so you read it (naughty naughty >:(((((( ) a lil snippet for ya >:D MORE IS TO COMEEEE but everybody doing oc lore so I knew I had to do it now lmfaooo ( @tiredsmashbros NO FANART THIS TIME BUT YOU HAVE JUICY LORE NYEH HEH HEH) ok NOW that's it bi-bi for now goobers :3
