⇢ Always brings back handpicked bouquets of flowers for you when he goes to windrise

⇢ He is a pretty bad cook but can cook like 5 meals that taste amazing

⇢ Don’t be surprised to come back to your home and find venti just chilling with some random bird, I feel like he gets on well with animals

⇢ He is very touchy and likes to hold your hand a lot or just place his hand somewhere on you, but he is respectful of you too and if you’re uncomfortable he stops immediately

DATES:

A usual date for you two would be an evening at the tavern, eating dinner there and watching venti play for a few hours, before going home for cuddles, or sitting at the fountain together and just chatting

Other dates that are still often, but less so would be sitting at his tree in windrise, writing poetry or songs or reading poetry or stories to each other, with someone’s head in the others lap

Rarer dates would be gliding on top of buildings at nighttime to find a picnic date that venti set up, complete with candles, a cushions and of course, dilucs finest wine. And once, a very deep conversation shared in the hands of ventis anemo statue outside the cathedral

GIFTS:

He always gives you small things that he finds that reminds him of you, so expect wildflowers, rocks, crystals, food, or anything that can be foraged. For more important events he actua saves money he gets from performing and buys you something special. He always wants to show you how much he cares for you but he doesn’t believe that physical items should be a metaphor for his love. That won’t stop him from getting you gifts though!

OTHER:

If one of you are going somewhere, or are simply too busy working to meet up with each other, you send notes to each other via the wind. Venti usually starts them, saying things like “I miss you <3” or “how’s my darling today?”

He always always always is ready to comfort. Wether you need cuddles ASAP or a distraction from the heavy burdens of day to day life, venti is always there for you. He might seem like a complete jokester at first glance, but the bard can truly be an understanding and loving s/o.

SUMMARY: in which jinx tries to calm down her worrisome partner after returning from a dangerous mission

“YOU COULD’VE DIED, JINX!” AS COLD WORDS SLIPPED PAST THEIR TEETH ALL JINX COULD DO WAS SIT THERE IN AWE. this lecture that her beloved spat only proved to be ineffective as their menacing words went through one of jinx’s ears and out the other. she wasn’t scared of them, no! it was far too outrageous to be scared of such a cute face. with the bridge of their nose all scrunched up, hair disheveled, and their eyes. Y/N’s eyes made her heart flutter with their fury. they were angry and they were distraught and god she loved it. she didn’t love the fact that that her beloved was sore, no not at all, rather she loved to witness such a professional human being lose their cool. just for her eyes only. what was even better was that it was over her safety— they must’ve loved her a lot, didn’t they? the thought made her want to squeal.

what proved to be jinx’s biggest mistake of the night was her inability to pick up the venom laced within her beloved’s tone. her ears fell deaf to their scolding, selective hearing is what silco liked to call it and Y/N couldn’t agree more. she was too interested in staring at those fiery eyes that, oh so prettily enough started to gleam with some new, never-quite-seen-by-jinx-before emotion. she watched their pupils dilate and gloss over and that was when she noticed something was terribly wrong.

“wha— why are you— you—…?” the blue haired girl sputtered out in bewilderment. she was thrown off balance, for never had she seen her beloved’s tough facade break down before; because of her nonetheless. don’t get jinx wrong, she knew they had a weak spot—everybody did— but finally seeing that made her brain start to panic.

“i’m not crying,” they were crying. gliding smoothly down the apples of Y/N’s cheeks were fat droplets of tears, the kind of tears that were not too easy to hide and, because of that overwhelming fact more tears started to profusely stream down their distraught expression. Y/N balled their fists up over their eyes and lips: a measly attempt at hiding what a mess they had become. it was pathetic wasn’t it? to cry in front of jinx, in front of the girl they were supposed to be strong for, but there they were.

on the contrary: jinx didn’t think that way at all.

“no… please— please… don’t cry…” forming sentences proved to be much more difficult for her now. jinx’s nervous smile fell and her eyes were scarily fixated into space and her ears were ready to listen in on whatever they had to say. she was now too intent on whatever sound could possibly fill the void between them. would they say anything now? could they say anything now? through the tears? please, please, please just say something— yell, scream, cry— just say something.

no word dared to leave their mouth. was it a blessing or a curse to have someone so assure of themselves and their own words, suddenly rendered speechless? jinx didn’t know.

was this what it felt like to have her heart break? a squeezing sensation wrapped around her chest and it suddenly became hard to breath. the oxygen that pumped through her body became scarce, yet she still attempted to keep her composure. this was the first time they needed her to be strong and she was not willing to mess that up.

jinx was determined to not to be such a jinx.

“i’m sorry— i’ll be more careful, just please don’t cry,” her voice wavered as she sauntered over to their side, sliding by and into the small space between her beloved and the desk they were slamming their fists into earlier. jinx closed the gap between them.

Y/N’s cheek pressed against something soft, the fabric of jinx’s black shirt. they warily looked up to meet her gaze and found her having already been looking directly at them. she looked like she had been waiting to meet their gaze too. she looked deep in thought. jinx stood there like that, her shirt damp from tears and posture hunched over to drape over her beloved’s quivering frame. they stopped quivering after a while and then they talked:

“the hell was i thinking?” they started, looking away and pushing away from jinx’s chest. their hand rested on her side still, a desperately soft grip as if they were apologizing to her. “the last thing i should be doing is worrying about you. you’re more than capable of taking care of yourself; you don’t need me checking in on you,” they sighed and their features softened. at that point the tears had dried up, successfully leaving behind a sticky trail that streaked down the sides of their face.

a soft sniffle was heard from above. it was soft but hadn’t gone unnoticed. and Y/N’s eyes widened, their head frantically tilted up to analyze her features, and they were left in awe at what they saw.

by the time Y/N finally looked up the big droplets that collected in the corner of jinx’s eyes finally fell loose. big tears slid down, starting at her lashes and ending at the corners of her lips and with that came a creasing of her brows. “NO! I NEED YOU Y/N!” her cry bounced off the walls. all too suddenly jinx was jumping into their lap, she jumped with so aimlessly fast that she knocked the chair Y/N sat at down and backwards but regardless squeezed them as tight as she could.

“why are you crying now?” Y/N smiled softly, back pressed against the chair that was pressed against the floor now. jinx hovered over top of Y/N, leaning into their touch as they wiped away her stray tears with their thumb. “looking at you crying made me want to cry,” she sniffled and laughed, only smiling when Y/N bursted out into a fit of laughter after her.

they laid there for a good while, smiling and making faces at each other like idiots.

KAEYA sends gossip he finds, or makes fun of the teacher. While you’re scribbling the formula, he throws a paper ball commenting on the principal’s receding hairline. But whenever he’s writing notes to you, and then gets picked on to answer since he wasn’t paying attention, he always gets it right somehow, and all the teachers hate him for it.

DILUC gives you the answers when he sees you struggling. yk those hot dry texters ? Yeah, that’s diluc. “The answers are in the questions after. You’ll be fine.” AND IT JSUT?/&/ and when he passes it to you when he does to turn in his test, he gives you a little nod, and god damn you are about to suck the trauma out of this mans dick because that test is hard as FUCK.

ZHONGLI rants about something in his day, or information that reminded him of you. Or maybe even facts about the topic you may need, or little myths revolving around the subject you’re learning. When he sends them, they’re always folded so symmetrical?? Sometimes he’ll fold them into dragons or animals and they’ll be so good?? AND ITS HARD UNWRAPPING THE NOTE BC U WANNA KEEP IT..

VENTI sends notes like, “lol I brought dvalin in my bag.” How is your pet bird not dead?? You scoot in closer as you play with him in Venti’s bag, and the amount of fucking animals he brings randomly to the classroom?? He brought a hamster once but it jumped in the toilet and was never seen again.

CHILDE doesn’t know what’s going on. “I don’t get the math help me :(“ His handwriting is big and the sad face is even more obnoxiously big. Ever since you’ve tutored him, (so he wouldn’t get kicked out of the ice hockey team) he’s been asking you to go to his games ever since. The brains to his brawn. <3

SCARAMOUCHE is a fucking bully. “ur forehead is big btw” gets thrown at you and you have to calm yourself down before you start pulling his ugly ass bowl cut. He really thought he ate? You throw it back with a , “Lets see what’s under the hat bitch, you got a bald spot or sum?” This form of teasing being thrown back and forth starts to become more than simple banter, in the following weeks.

XIAO tutors you in comp sci, and holy shit he’s good with his hands. Play us like one of ur glow in the dark keyboards..and god are his hands fast when they type. Instead of doing work, he’ll email you and you’ll both go at it back and forth, him making fun of your game dmg and you calling him a meta-slave. Yeah, all fun and games until the school looks at your school emails. goodluck

ALBEDO isn’t patient in things that don’t interest him. Expect a, “god can this teacher ever shut up” written hastily as he kicks his legs under the desk to pass the time. Usually he scribbled the other classes homework, and gets caught all the time. He already knows all the answers, so the teacher can’t call on him either.

THOMA puts notes in your bag, pencil case, planner, anywhere you’ll eventually see them is placed there with little reminders on tests, or just pick-me ups and ideas for the weekends. He’ll probably sneak in a snack if you haven’t been eating properly, with a “Eat more :(“ post-it on the ziplock.

KAZUHA sends crappy poetry or quotes in books he finds that remind him of you. “You smell like the sun, and taste like the moon..”. Boy, what the hell?? He’ll send you little doodles of cats and a compliment, or even shove all the drafts of his poetry into your locker in passing. So cliche and sappy, but it’s Kazuha.
